Elevee Winegrowers Three Martins Rose 2015 750ML ($24.95) Buy Now: $21.90 special
Another fine rose from Tom Fitzgerald at Elevee Vineyards, who is the winemaker and GM at Alloro Vineyards. The wine is all estate-grown Pinot Noir. It’s just a touch lighter than the ’14, the palate shows wonderful red berry notes, racy acid and just a little something that says, “hmm, I need another sip…” Perfect summer sipper. Try with shellfish, aged cheeses, and roasted vegetables.
Now, if summer would only start! Cheers!

Goodfellow Clover Pinot Gris Reserve, Willamette Valley 2014 750ML ($21.95) Buy Now: $18 special
Floral and elegant, it’s a great starter to a meal or aperitif-style wine. Clover is derived from the highest point of the Whistling Ridge and Bishop Creek vineyards and is fermented in neutral wood before aging for 15-17 months on its lees. A contrast of toasted hazelnut plays against the floral elements nicely, with a clean and lasting finish. A beautiful presentation of what Oregon winemakers are capable of! – Tyler

“Dolin is a respected producer of AOC French-style vermouths from Chambery, France in the Alps. The vermouths are produced using an herbal recipe from 1821 and wormwood as their bitter agent. The neutral base wines are left to macerate with local herbs and plants for several months before being sweetened and fortified. The Dry makes a superb mixer for dry martinis or to spice up ginger ale. It has delicate herbal notes from the Alpine botanicals infused in the wine. Crowley Chardonnay, Willamette Valley 2014 750ML ($26.95) Buy Now: $21.90 special
“The 2014 offering from Crowley shows their classic notes of dried ginger and golden apples with a brisk acidity. The wine was raised in neutral French oak barrels for 16 months and offers a creamy texture from the extended lees aging along with a bright mineral finish that lasts for several minutes. It is all declassified Four Winds Vineyard fruit comprised of 1/3 Dijon clone and 2/3 Wente clone. (The 2013 release saw no Wente as this later-ripening variety was negatively affected by the rain.) A remarkable offering, as always, that would pair well with a range of foods or be enjoyable on its own to sip and ponder.” -Suzanne
Winery note “Comprised of Wente and Dijon clones from Four Winds Vineyard this wine demonstrates the undeniable pedigree and personality of this fantastic high elevation and old vine site. … Read the rest
