Siro Pacenti Brunello

Siro Pacenti New Arrival!

June 2017

A Master of Modern Brunello

pacenti-brunello“Giancarlo Pacenti is by far the leading exponent of the modern school of Brunello di Montalcino. No other producer has succeeded in crafting wines of this much textural beauty and refinement.” – Antonio Galloni

They are aged in French oak barrels yet show very little wood character, and their crystal clear style is one that ages extremely well.”… Read the rest

Wine of the Day: Clos Cibonne ‘Cuvee Tradition’ Rosé 2014 6-6-16

cinbonneroseClos Cibonne Cotes de Provence Cuvee Tradition Rose, Provence 2014 750ML ($29.95) Buy Now: $24 special

I only suggest this wine if you’re okay with having your entire rosé world rocked to its core. Really! We’ve got a game changer here, folks.

Clos Cibonne sits handsomely along the coast in Provence; this, their signature wine, is fermented in stainless steel before spending 12-18 months in hundred-year-old casks under fleurette, or a thin layer of yeasts. This unique manner of élevage makes for a textured, hugely complex wine of great versatility. Nectarine and mandarine orange fruit come across in the medium-bodied, honey-tinged wine; the finish is long and floral. – Tyler
