Brunello’s Best from 2016
 

There are few vintages that were as consistently good as 2016 in Italy. In Tuscany in particular the vintage was marked by textbook conditions, leading it to be crowned “The Vintage of the Century”. Brunello di Montalcino as the apex of Sangiovese and one of Italian wine’s crown jewels delivered this to the nines.

We’re featuring four lovely rosatos in stock now and ready to party!

Etna has become the newest hottest region in Sicily, and for good reason.  Jancis Robinson even called it “The Burgundy of the Mediterranean,” which is an apt description of most of the new wines coming off of the high altitude slopes of Sicily’s volcano. This Rosato is bright, crisp, crunchy, and savory, showing off that volcanic terroir – it’s all we’re looking for in indigenous pinks!

Clouet’s Classic Champagnes
 

While Vinopolis doesn’t have a “house” Champagne, we seem to recommend two more than any others, André Clouet’s Grand Réserve and Silver Brut Nature. These have been stalwarts of our sparkling wine section for quite some time and are the wines that we measure all new value-minded Champagnes. 

What makes the Grand Réserve and the Silver so good? For starters, they’re both 100% Grand Cru Pinot Noir, despite not being labeled as Blanc de Noirs.
