Yohan Lardy “Vieilles Vignes de 1903”

Our best-selling Beaujolais in 2021 has returned, and the new vintage is better than ever!

“Yohan Lardy’s modestly sized domaine comprises seven organically farmed hectares of vines, many of them very old, in some of the best parts of Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie and Chénas. Yohan Lardy is a fifth-generation winemaker in Beaujolais, and son of Lucien [Lardy]. He completed viticultural studies at Beaune and followed that up with a working year in Chile, where he fell in with that country’s burgeoning biodynamic-focused, natural wine crowd.

Featured New Arrivals:

New Sake Selections

For those unfamiliar with Saké let us provide some context. Fundamentally different in production and classification than the wines that we carry, Saké is produced from milled rice that is then fermented with yeasts and fungi (Known as kōji). Sunny Sherries

Sherry is one of the most underappreciated wine styles in the entire world, and is one of the best buys in the market as a result! After years of declining acerage being in production, the remaining vineyards are comprised almost entirely of chalk, or albariza as it’s called locally which imparts a distinctive, pervasive and saline minerality to the finished wine. What remains as far as vineyards go are the “Grand Crus” representing less than 25% of the original extent of Sherry country.

Ygay? Okay!

New Vintage of Marques De Murrieta incoming

Marqués de Murrieta is one of the great pillars of classical Rioja—a titan of the region that’s responsible for some of the greatest wines ever produced in Spain. They resemble more polished, powerful versions of López de Heredia while sharing their age-worthiness. However they also offer a distinctly more fruit driven profile in their youth. Murrieta’s wines have always been favorites amongst critics and consumers alike.

Marques Murrieta Riserva Arriving June 10th:

Marques de Murrieta Reserva Rioja DOCa 2017 750ML ($29.95) $26 pre-arrival special
Case-6 Marques de Murrieta Reserva Rioja DOCa 2017 750ML ($179.95) $149 pre-arrival special, (That’s $24.83 per bottle!)
James Suckling 96 points
“Incredible depth and intensity on the nose with chocolate, walnut, blackberry and wet-earth aromas.
