Arriving Today!

Fans of the Michelini brothers in Argentina, known for their winemaking at Zorzal, also craft exceptional wines from calcareous soils in the Uco Valley under their SuperUco label. These are biodynamic wines from some of the top crafters of cool climate Argentinian wines. Don’t miss their gorgeous Cabernet Franc landing today.

“Among the most exciting Argentine wines I’ve been tasting in recent years are those made by the four Michelini brothers, especially those bottled under the SuperUco, Michelini Wines and Zorzal labels. The very distinctive—one might say groundbreaking—Michelini style is natural, fresh, savory and low in alcohol.” –Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

“[SupercUco] is located in Los Chacayes, where there are two hectares of vines, as well as estate holdings in Gualtallary and Altamira, all of which are organic and Demeter certified.

“Cascina delle Rose is without question one of the emerging estates in Barbaresco. Readers who have not tasted these wines should make a point of doing so, as they encapsulate everything that makes Barbaresco so alluring.”

Cascina delle Rose

The Cascina delle Rose estate in Barbaresco crafts charming and soulful wines that are easy to love, drink, and enjoy. To be sure, the wines aren’t for everyone, especially if power and heft are your preferences. These lean, well, lean, but don’t scrimp on the aromatic complexity or beauty.

The winemaking here is extremely traditional, and the vineyard management fully organic. These are wines that are striving for beauty and achieve it without sacrificing their drinkability and the ability to satisfy.

Peter William

Unlike the Willamette with its emphasis on Burgundian varieties and styles, the Rogue Valley boasts one of the most diverse selection of styles and grapes in any established winemaking region in America. The one hundred or so wineries that call it home emphasize sustainability.

Full-time physician Dr. Peter Adesman and his wife, Dr. Robin Miller, planted the Peter William estate vineyard in 2013 after decades of work collecting, consuming, and educating on wine. They grow Roussanne, Grenache, Syrah, Tempranillo, and Malbec at the estate and purchase from other Rogue Valley vineyards. The resulting wines are enjoyable and approachable, both in terms of drinkability and cost.

Joh. Jos. Prüm

Manfred and Katarina Prüm make some of the finest and most sought-after wines in all of Germany. These reference-point Mosel Rieslings are some of the most profound and age-worthy white wines in the world. These white wines have near-unparalleled consistency in ageability and quality worldwide.

The Prüm wines are high-wire acts of tension between fruit and intense minerality. By some subtle alchemy, the wines spring forth from the parcels of mostly old, ungrafted vines through spontaneous fermentation and a dash of magic in the cellar. The results are deeply expressive of their terroir.

As you can expect with one of the most famous producers in Germany, if not the world, quantities are highly allocated.
