The Best Produttori Barbaresco Yet?

Antonio Galloni Says “Don’t Miss It!”

Torbreck is one of the truly iconic Australian wineries. Producing wines at every price-point, they’re known in their native land for their “RunRig” Shiraz—a towering bottling that sits with Penfold’s Grange and Henschke’s Hill of Grace as one of the country’s best wines made in any given vintage. The 2015 is one of the best iterations yet, combining the raw power of Barossa with enough polish to take the wine into transcendent realms. Our limited allocation arrives Friday, but likely won’t last long.

“I have always been awestruck by the purity and true-to-type aromas and flavors that owner Fabio Sireci is able to tease out of Nero d’Avola. Just as importantly, his two single vineyard Nero d’Avolas, Lagnusa and Vrucara, also showcase the characteristics of specific Sicilian terroirs. The two are absolute benchmarks of traditionally made Nero d’Avola wines.”
