Arriving Tomorrow

Orin Swift’s Top Catalan Sensation

At the Best Price in the Country

Orin Swift makes a bit of wine in southwestern France—big powerful bottles that are probably even better than the wines produced in California.  They come from old, old vines in the Cotes Catalanes and we’re getting the top wine from that project, Pharoan, tomorrow. This is a wine not to be missed for lovers of the producer and a mere 18 bottles arrive tomorrow.

Orin Swift Department D 66 ‘Pharaon’, IGP Cotes Catalanes 2014 ($189.95) $136 pre-arrival special
Wine Advocate 95 points “The top wine is the 2014 IGP Cotes Catalanes Pharaon, and it’s a barrel selection that ended up being an even split of Grenache and Syrah that was aged in 75% new French oak.

Bereche et Fils Reflet d’Antan Brut, Champagne NV 1.5L ($299.95) Was $249, Now $199 Clearance Price
Antonio Galloni 93 points “The flagship NV (2012) Reflet d’Antan is quite rich and intense, yet it also maintains striking translucence. Dried flowers, herbs and spices add aromatic nuance throughout, but, as is often the case, Reflet d’Antan is a wine of texture and feel above all else.

Brovia Barolo DOCG, Piedmont 2012 750ML ($51.95) Was $46, Now $39 Clearance Price, 18 bottles in stock now
Antonio Galloni
“Brovia’s 2012 Barolo is classy, polished and absolutely delicious. With a little bit of air, the 2012 can be enjoyed now, but it also has enough freshness and balance to drink well for at least a handful of years.
