Month Long Specials

Gran Moraine is one of Yamhill–Carlton District’s most celebrated producers, and the wines reflect the unique terroir of the growing area. The hillside vineyards of Yamhill–Carlton form a horseshoe (or more accurately a lobster claw) around the valley floor, and enjoy slightly warmer and dryer conditions than neighboring sub-AVAs. These conditions are the result of the rain-shadow effect of the nearby Coastal Range and the warm air that pools within the lobster claw. Under its vines, Yamhill–Carlton is dominated by the Willamette Valley’s oldest marine sedimentary-based soils.

Featured New New Arrival:
Ulysses

“To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield” – Alfred Lord Tennyson, Ulysses

You’ve heard of Dominus and their multi-award winning Cabernet, but did you know that there’s a sister label just as storied? Ulysses is another single vineyard owned by Christian Moueix located in Oakville at the foot of the Mayacamas Mountain Range. Just like her sister, the Ulysses vineyard is organically farmed with no irrigation (No small feat given the rising temperatures as a result of climate change) and given as much pampering in the cellar as Dominus.

Delightful Donnhoff

Robert Parker calls Helmut Donnhoff “unquestionably one of the stars” in the world of German Rieslings. Situated between the villages of Niederhausen and Schlossbockelheim in the middle Nahe, the Dönnhoff family has been making wine since 1750, with Helmut Dönnhoff in charge of winemaking at the estate since 1971. While there are many who can attest to Donnhoff’s talent, there is no one better to describe Helmut than himself: “I want the wines I make to contain a story, and the story I can offer is that of me at home in my landscape.
