Over Half Off Stags Leap District Cabernet from Chimney Rock!
This is the lowest listed price in the USA today, by a LOT. How much? Well, the average price is $104, and there are half-bottles going for more than our listing! The next best by-the-750ml-bottle price is $69.99.
Chimney Rock Cabernet Sauvignon, Stags Leap District 2022 750ml $49 special, 36+ bottles in stock now
Joe Czerwinski-Wine Advocate 92 points “A blend of 76.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19.8% Merlot, 3.5% Petit Verdot and 0.4% Malbec, Chimney Rock’s 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Grown Stags Leap District offers up some peppery-clove spice notes and hints of hickory layered atop blackberries and black cherries. It’s full-bodied, velvety and slightly open-knit but nicely concentrated, ending long, with hints of vanilla oak. Drink 2025-2035.”
Decanter 92 points “Classically styled, this showcases ripe blackberry fruit, graphite and rich toasty oak spices, intertwined with perfumed florals. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly structured, with firm yet fine tannins that have impressive staying power. Crushed stone minerality builds alongside hints of white pepper and sage, carrying through to a long, refined finish. The blend includes 20% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. Destemmed fruit, with winemaker Elizabeth Vianna employing extended skin contact and fermentation, primarily in stainless steel at cooler temperatures. The wine is then aged for 18 months in 40% new French oak. Drinking window 2025-2035.”
Jeb Dunnuck 92 points “The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District comes entirely from the estate’s parcels in the Stags Leap District and checks in as 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and the balance Petit Verdot and Malbec, all raised in 50% new barrels. It’s clearly a successful 2022 and has a great nose of ripe red and black fruits, chocolaty wood, tobacco, and cedar pencils. A classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, it’s medium to full-bodied and has a round, plush mouthfeel and outstanding length. I’d be thrilled to drink a bottle any time over the coming decade. It reminds me of the 2019. Hats off to winemaker Elizabeth Vianna for a brilliant classic cuvée in a challenging vintage. Drink 2025-2035.”

New Arrival Featurette:
The Eyrie Vineyards
The Eyrie Vineyards is the original winery of the Dundee Hills. Founder David Lett selected his location after careful consideration, wanting to prove that cool-climate European varieties could thrive in the United States.
In 2005, his soft-spoken yet brilliant son, Jason Lett, took over as winemaker and vineyard manager. He explored new varieties, such as Trousseau, without compromising on quality. The winery produces about the same volume it always has, around 9,000 cases annually, keeping the focus on craft and quality. We adore these wines. They are precious beyond measure, a reflection of the Letts’ foresight, knowledge, and hard work.

The Eyrie Vineyards Pinot Gris, Dundee Hills 2023 750ml $26 special, 12 bottles in stock now
No review available for the 2023. 2022 review provided for reference.
Erin Brooks-Wine Advocate 93 points “The 2022 Estate Pinot Gris is particularly pure and expressive this year. Spring frost affected some varieties in 2022, but winemaker Jason Lett says these old Pinot Gris vines, planted in 1979, are located at higher elevations and didn’t suffer frost damage because the buds were not yet out. “The result is a higher proportion of old vines,” he says, of the fruit in this 2022. It has detailed scents of green pear and apple blossom, cashews and bread dough. The light-bodied palate is layered and floral, a touch of textural grip balanced by mouthwatering acidity, and it has a long, expressive finish.”
The Eyrie Vineyards Trousseau, Dundee Hills 2022 750ml $36 special, 24 bottles in stock now
Eric Guido-Vinous 92 points “Remarkably pretty, the 2022 Trousseau mixes savory woodland berries with rosemary, sage and hints of wet stone. It opens with a pretty inner sweetness and crisp red berry fruits, taking on a tinge of spice and white pepper toward the close. It finishes incredibly fresh and clean, tapering off with medium length and a pleasantly crunchy sensation.”
The Eyrie Vineyards Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills 2021 750ml $49 special, 30 bottles in stock now
Eric Guido-Vinous 94+ points “The 2021 Pinot Noir Estate lifts from the glass with a mentholated freshness, giving way to dried roses and strawberries. Silky and enveloping, it possesses a core of vividly ripe wild berries and sweet herbal tones that resonate over a tactile staining of saline minerals. Grippy tannins saturate through the long, spicy finish as repleting inner florals and bitter hints of licorice fade.”
The Eyrie Vineyards Sisters Vineyard Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills 2021 750ml $59 special, 12 bottles in stock now
Eric Guido-Vinous 94 points “The 2021 Pinot Noir Sisters blossoms in the glass with woodland berries and herbs complicated by allspice and clove. The palate is round and supple with cooling acidity and ripe wild berries cascading throughout, leaving a sweet spice tinge toward the close. This finishes with remarkable freshness, a gentle sour citrus twang, and slowly fading hints of red plum. The 2021 is already showing beautifully, but there’s the balance to excel over the next five to seven years of cellaring. (Drink between 2025-2035).”

Pedro Guillermo by Peter William Pinot Gris, Rogue Valley 2024 750ml $18 special, 12 bottles in stock now
Winery Note “Our first Pinot Gris, under the “Pedro Guillermo” value label. Sourced from a vineyard (which we cannot name) in the Applegate Valley. The wine shows bright pears and citrus on the nose and palate, with great acidity to hold the fruit. It is a great summer wine, bright enough for hot weather, but with enough body to go with almost any meal.”

Pedro Guillermo by Peter William “Tempranillo Tango”, Rogue Valley 2024 750ml $18 special, 11 bottles in stock now

Pedro Guillermo by Peter William “Robin’s Rumba”, Rogue Valley 2023 750ml $18 special, 12 bottles in stock now
Winery Note “Robin’s Rumba is a blend of 50/50 Syrah and Tempranillo. It leans toward the Syrah fruit, with spicy dark plum aromas and flavors predominating. Structure and brightness are added by the Tempranillo.”

Peter William Vineyard Grenache Rosé, Rogue Valley 2023 750ml $24 special, 21 bottles in stock now

Peter William Vineyard PWV ‘Les Candives’ Reserve Syrah, Rogue Valley 2018 750ml $33 special, 31 bottles in stock now
Norm Roby-Wine Review Online 94 points “Of the three Syrahs made by this winery in 2018, this one is 100% Syrah made from the estate vineyard and aged entirely in French oak, 50% new. To distinguish it from the others, the winery went with the “Candives” name, said to be an alternate name for Syrah used in the tiny village of Chavanay in the Northern Rhone Valley. As fine as the other 2018s are, this is so dark, dense, and dramatic that the special name is certainly merited. Loaded with ripe black fruit, it also has layers of spice, hints of clove and violets, light leather, toast, and pepper that evolve in the glass. Ultra smooth and seamless, it is beautiful now but will also bring rewards with cellaring.”

Peter William Vineyard PWV ‘Extravagance’ Proprietary Reserve Red, Rogue Valley 2020 750ml $36 special, 36+ bottles in stock now
Michael Alberty-Wine Enthusiast 90 points “This is a 50-50 Syrah-Tempranillo blend where the Syrah is co-fermented with 3% Viognier. It is packed with concentrated blackberry and balsamic aromas and flavors. The tiniest notes of orange blossom and lemon add contrast, and the wine’s thick texture is matched with grippy tannins.”

Peter William Vineyard Lot B-42 Syrah, Rogue Valley 2019 750ml $24 special, 22 bottles in stock now
Michael Alberty-Wine Enthusiast 92 points “Forget the B-52s, this B-42 is where it’s at. Boysenberry, lavender and roasted pork aromas are joined by a touch of orange creamsicle. If that’s due to the 3% co-fermented Viognier, thank you Viognier. An elegant mouthfeel with bright acidity escorts flavors like black cherry and English breakfast tea.”

K Vintners Art Den Hoed Viognier, Yakima Valley 2023 750ml $19.50 special, 36+ bottles in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 94 points “With a kiss of reduction in its white peach, honeyed flowers, and subtle tangerine notes, the 2023 Viognier Art Den Hoed hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a round, lush mouthfeel, and a clean, light, graceful, incredibly drinkable style. It’s a beautiful, incredibly classy Viognier that I’d happily put side by side with anything from the Northern Rhône. Drink bottles over the coming couple of years.”

Domaine Cecile Tremblay Bourgogne Cote d’Or Rouge 2021 750ml $199 special, 6 bottles in stock now
“Firm reduction renders the nose impossible to fairly evaluate. Otherwise, the sleek, delicious and nicely textured middleweight flavors possess an attractive sense of vibrancy that carries over to the youthfully austere but not really rustic finale that offers better than average depth and persistence. (Drink starting 2024).” -Burghound

Domaine Cecile Tremblay Chambolle-Musigny Les Cabottes 2021 750ml $299 special, 6 bottles in stock now
Decanter 92 points “The attention to detail shows in this lovely wine. There is a compellingly sensual dark blackberry fruit component here with spice and earth notes. The texture is firm but not hard or astringent, with plenty of tannic grip and appreciable freshness that leads to a lingering finish. Tremblay farms three parcels that total 0.70 hectares, located not far from her holdings in Aux Echanges but in the village-level portion of this lieu-dit. She ferments without punching down, moistening the cap slightly in the gentlest way. (Drink between 2025-2045).”

Domaine Marc Colin et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 2023 750ml $99 special, 6 bottles in stock now
“The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Village Margot comes from four parcels located on the Puligny side of the appellation. This doesn’t quite have the cohesion of the Premier Crus at the moment. It is a little simplistic compared to the 2022 last year. The palate is medium-bodied with light malic fruit, cooking apple and pear, though it doesn’t quite kick on toward the finish. (Drink between 2025-2033).” -Neal Martin, Vinous

Domaine Marc Colin et Fils Les Castets, Saint-Aubin Premier Cru 2023 750ml $79 special, 12 bottles in stock now
Neal Martin-Vinous 90-92 points “The 2023 Saint-Aubin Les Castets 1er Cru comes from two south-facing parcels of younger vines, usually the first harvested in the appellation. It is a little richer on the nose than the domain’s other cuvées, with hints of tropical fruit initially, although these ebb away with aeration to reveal more of its terroir. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and a creamy texture with dried honey, ginger and nectarine notes. Very composed and lace-like on the finish, this is a wine that will be difficult to resist in its youth.”

Domaine Marc Colin et Fils En Montceau, Saint-Aubin Premier Cru 2023 750ml $89 special, 6 bottles in stock now
Neal Martin-Vinous 91-93 points “The 2023 Saint-Aubin en Montceau 1er Cru hails from one of Damien Colin’s favorite lieux-dits known for its poor marl soils not dissimilar to Le Trezin in Puligny, although the vines here ripen later. It has a generous, fresh, vibrant bouquet with crushed stone and fleeting sea spray scents. Indeed, you might mistake it for a Puligny! The palate is well balanced and just a little creamy in texture, with hints of chamomile and white chocolate on the finish. This is a Saint-Aubin predisposed to give as much pleasure as possible.”

Domaine Marc Colin et Fils Les Combes, Saint-Aubin Premier Cru 2023 750ml $84.50 special, 6 bottles in stock now
Neal Martin-Vinous 90-92 points “The 2023 Saint-Aubin Les Combes 1er Cru has a backward nose that demands coaxing from the glass. Wet pavement and almost flinty aromas percolate through the apple fruit tones. The palate is fresh, vibrant and quite sapid, with superb acidity, a twist of sour lemon and a brisk, lively finish that lingers. It’s promising, but let’s see if it matches the excellent 2022.”

It’s medium-bodied on the palate, with a silky-wet stone feel and a lingering finish that seems to build in red fruit intensity while remaining citrusy and refreshing at the same time. Peyrassol ‘Le Clos’ Rosé, Côtes de Provence 2022 750ml Original Price $77, Was $71.90, Now $61.90 super special, 7 bottles in stock now
Eric Guido-Vinous 93 points “The 2022 Rosé Le Clos Peyrassol keeps the glass in constant motion. Swirling unlocks depths of dried apricot and peaches, complicated by sweet smoke and mint. This is deeply textural, creamy yet lively all the same, with tantalizing acidity and vividly ripe orchard fruits perfectly contrasted by ginger. Cooling and poised, yet still juicy on the palate, the 2022 finishes with admirable length, leaving green melon and inner florals to fade slowly.”
Peyrassol ‘Chateau Peyrassol’ Rosé, Côtes de Provence 2022 750ml Original Price $41.90, Was $39, Now $34 super special, 2 bottles in stock now
Eric Guido-Vinous 92 points “The 2022 Rosé opens with a savory bouquet, blending dusty dried flowers with ginger, cardamom and a touch of dried peaches. This washes across the palate with opulent textures while remaining remarkably fresh and light on its feet. Sweet spices and ripe orchard fruit swirl throughout. The Château Peyrassol cleans up beautiful, pure, fresh and perfumed. It ends on a salty flourish.”

Peyrassol ‘Le Clos’ Rosé, Côtes de Provence 2019 1.5L Original Price $129, Was $99, Now $89 super special, 5 magnums in stock now
Joe Czerwinski-Wine Advocate 93 points “Predominantly Tibouren, with the balance of the blend being Grenache and Rolle, Peyrassol’s super pale 2019 Cotes de Provence Rose Le Clos Peyrassol offers up scents of crushed stone, garrigue, white peach and lime, all tinged with tart red berries. It’s medium-bodied on the palate, with a silky-wet stone feel and a lingering finish that seems to build in red fruit intensity while remaining citrusy and refreshing at the same time. One of the best wines in this year’s tasting, this is a limited-production cuvée from a walled vineyard located on the estate.”

Peyrassol ‘Le Clos’ Rosé, Côtes de Provence 2021 1.5L Original Price $119, Was $99, Now $89 super special, 10 magnums in stock now
Josh Raynolds-Vinous 94 points “Vivid onion skin color. A highly perfumed and complex bouquet evokes fresh citrus and pit fruits, strawberry and pungent flowers, along with building mineral and succulent herb elements. Shows excellent clarity and depth to its juicy red fruit, nectarine and mango flavors, which are sweetened by a background of vanilla note. Finishes impressively long and silky, with the mineral and floral note resonating.”

Billecart-Salmon ‘Cuvee Nicolas-Francois Billecart’ Millesime, Champagne 2012 1.5L $459 pre-arrival special, 3 magnums available
James Suckling 97 points “This complex Champagne has delicious aromas of waffle cones, vanilla beans, apricots and pastry with touches of white chocolate and salted caramel. It’s electric on the palate, which is creamy yet structured and focused, with a fine bead of bubbles and a zesty, tangy backbone of acidity. Long and tense finish. 60% pinot noir and 40% chardonnay (all premier and grand cru), 10% of wines are vinified in oak casks. 10 years on lees. 3.8 g/L dosage. Disgorged in the second half of 2024. Drink or hold.”
Billecart-Salmon ‘Le Clos Saint Hilaire’ Blanc de Noirs Brut, Champagne 2009 750ml $589 pre-arrival special, 3 magnums available
Antonio Galloni-Vinous 98 points “The 2009 Extra Brut Le Clos Saint-Hilaire is stellar. I can’t remember a young Clos Saint-Hilaire with this much sheer immediacy. Then again, we are talking about 2009. Blood orange, spice, gingerbread and new leather play off a core of vibrant, red-toned Pinot fruit. Blocking the malolactic fermentation further emphasizes energy. The 2009 finishes with mind-blowing purity and exceptional finesse. This is the first vintage with some of the production bottled in magnum. The essence of Pinot. Dosage is 2 grams per liter. Disgorged: January 2024. Drink: 2027-2044.”

Cappellano Otin Fiorin Pie Rupestris, Barolo DOCG 2020 750ml $239 pre-arrival special, 5 bottles available
Antonio Galloni-Vinous “[Unscored per winery request] The 2020 Barolo Rupestris is an elegant, sculpted wine. It shows the mid-weight structure of the year nicely. Sweet red cherry fruit, mint, chalk, white pepper, orange peel and dried flowers open with some coaxing. I would leave this alone in the cellar for a few years, as time in bottle is essential here. I won’t be surprised if this fills out a bit over the coming years, as is often the case here. Many years ago Baldo Cappellano asked me not to score his wines, so all Cappellano wines show up on our database as NR. (Drink between 2026-2045).”
Biondi Santi Tenuta Greppo Rosso di Montalcino, Tuscany 2019 750ml $119 pre-arrival special, 12 bottles available
Monica Larner-Wine Advocate 95 points “This flight of three Biondi-Santi wines starts off on the right foot thanks to the pristine bouquet and lively fruit of the 2019 Rosso di Montalcino. This is the entry-level wine (although the price point certainly suggests otherwise). It shows very detailed and chiseled aromas of wild cherry, cassis, dried violet, rust and orange skin. The wine carries a strong structural frame; however, the mouthfeel is ethereal and light notwithstanding.”

Gaja Ca’Marcanda ‘Camarcanda’ Bolgheri Rosso, Tuscany 2021 750ml $229 pre-arrival special, 12 bottles available
Wine Enthusiast 97 points “Pure and elegant, with saturated flavors of violet, black currant, blackberry, licorice and iron. This is so beautifully balanced that it feels almost seamless, even at this young stage, offering a sleek profile and endless aftertaste that echoes the fruit. The oak is very well-integrated, with polished tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2026 through 2045. 2,500 cases made, 333 cases imported.”
