Hundred Suns Gamay Noir, Willamette Valley 2024 750ml Displayed Price: $31.90, that’s $30.31 at 5% off and $28.71 at 10% off, 15 bottles in stock now
Winery Note “With a warm growing season and picture-perfect weather in fall, our collection of dry-farmed Gamay vineyards yielded fruit full of flavor with layers of rich texture and juicy acidity. Fermented with native yeast and aged in 10% terracotta amphora and 909% in neutral oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 25% La Belle Promenade Vineyard, Chehalem Mtn AVA. 100% whole cluster. 33% Jubilee Vineyard, Eola-Amity Hills AVA. 50% whole cluster. 42% Carson Phillips Vineyard, Dundee Hills AVA. 100% destemmed.”
Hundred Suns Bednarik Vineyard Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 2023 750ml Displayed Price: $59, that’s $56.05 at 5% off and $53.10 at 10% off, 5 bottles in stock now
Winery Note “One of our perennial favorites, this old, own-rooted site shows aromas of sour cherry, hibiscus tea, and tangerine. The palate of pure red fruit and the spine of tannins from marine sedimentary soils make this wine both serious and playful. Rooted in marine sedimentary soil deep in the cool coastal foothills, this 6-acre, own-rooted vineyard was planted in 1988 by William Bednarik to Pommard and Wädenswil clones of Pinot Noir. A late flowering and the cool conditions of this special site led us to pick this fruit almost two weeks after all our other pinot sites. The extended hang time created a stunning wine with pure Mt. Hood strawberries, cranberry sauce, and fresh, silky tannins. Fermented with natural yeast and bottled unfined and unfiltered.”
This is the lowest listed price on the West Coast!
Hundred Suns Carson Phillips Vineyard Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills 2023 750ml Displayed Price: $59, that’s $56.05 at 5% off and $53.10 at 10% off, 10 bottles in stock now
Winery Note “Candied cherries and raspberry preserve mix it up with a crazy aroma of…gummy peach rings. Really. The first sip delivers cherries dusted in cocoa powder with fruit that is present and full, and it carries a beautiful acid streak that is born from this cool vineyard in the northwest corner of the Dundee Hills. Planted 23 years ago, this site is farmed sustainably without the use of synthetic chemicals or herbicides. Dry-farmed and deep-rooted, the vines express the intensity of the volcanic soils from which they draw their nutrients and water. A cool spring and late bud break quickly transitioned to warm weather. Persistent summer heat allowed us to harvest fully ripe fruit on September 17th. Fermented with natural yeast and 25% whole cluster, this gorgeous wine layers dark cherry, candied strawberries and a rich palate. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.”

Hundred Suns ‘Lone Feather’ Pinot Noir, McMinnville 2023 750ml Displayed Price: $59, that’s $56.05 at 5% off and $53.10 at 10% off, 7 bottles in stock now
Winery Note “Clinging to western reaches of the McMinnville AVA, this old, own-rooted site once again set a meager crop, but the resulting wine is incredible. Marionberry and dark blueberry fruits mingle with tart cherries. Naturally a high acid site, the deep crimson color is a visual cue to what lies beneath: ripe and sweet on the palette the tannins from these thick skinned, tiny berries give the wine the structure to hold it all together. This wine will drink well now and deep into the future. The Lone Feather Vineyard is planted on rocky basalt soils on the edge the McMinnville AVA. Cool, coastal breezes and rocky volcanic soil help to focus the deep flavors of these own rooted vines established in the late 1980’s. Under the stewardship of Warren and Jennifer Feather, this site is meticulously farmed with the goal of sustaining this legacy vineyard for years to come. The warm growing season in 2023 gifted tiny berries with deep concentration of dark fruit. Paired with the site’s natural acidity, this wine will continue to grow in complexity and be delicious for years to come.”
Goodfellow Family Cellars Extra Brut, Willamette Valley NV 750ml Displayed Price: $49, that’s $46.55 at 5% off and $44.10 at 10% off, 10 bottles in stock now
Eric Guido-Vinous 92 points “Dusty florals and spices give way to yellow apples and hints of iodine as the NV Extra Brut evolves in the glass. Soothingly round and textured, it sweeps across the palate with ripe orchard fruits and a bead of creamy bubbles. This finishes remarkably clean and pure, leaving a resonance of ripe Anjou pear to linger on. The balance here is unreal. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter.”
This is the only listing in the USA today!
Goodfellow Family Cellars Tsai Vineyard Blanc de Noir, Yamhill-Carlton District NV 750ml Displayed Price: $54.50, that’s $51.78 at 5% off and $49.05 at 10% off, 13 bottles in stock now
Winery Note “So delicious. This wine was originally supposed to be a component of the Willamette Valley Extra-Brut, but from the earliest days in barrel it had an extraordinary energy and vibrancy. Raised in two 820L Acacia foudres it was, and still is, a joy to drink. Electric, vibrant, and sparkly (both having bubbles and in personality). The nose is sea air, pink florals and yellow roses, sweet tarts, apricot blossoms, and ruby red grapefruit. The palate is Rainier cherry skin and raspberry, so vibrant and fresh, and then a wonderful electric finish; must love acid, the balance here is very definitely sweet/tart/dry. 12.1% ABV, 1gram/liter dosage. Bottled April 2023, with 85 cases disgorged this past December.”
This is the only listing in the USA today!
Goodfellow Family Cellars Whistilng Ridge Vineyard Blanc de Gris, Ribbon Ridge NV 750ml Displayed Price: $47.50, that’s $45.13 at 5% off and $42.75 at 10% off, 15 bottles in stock now
Winery Note “Like walking through an orchard blossoming out in the spring. Then mandarins and orange zest, nectarine and lime leaf, subtle and fine, with a hint of salt & fennel pollen. Kumquats in the palate, stony and dry (not austere), mineral, finishes with citrus skin. The impetus to make traditional method sparkling wines from Pinot Gris came from years of watching the quality of Pinot Gris that has consistently come out of the Whistling Ridge Vineyard, and specifically with tasting some of the older examples of our bottlings with extended barrel aging and with extended skin-contact. Brut Nature (no dose) but with a yeasty textural aspect that suggests otherwise. Delicious. 12.6% ABV. 77 cases produced, bottled April 2023 and disgorged this past December.”
Goodfellow Family Cellars Durant Vineyard Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills 2022 750ml Displayed Price: $49, that’s $46.55 at 5% off and $44.10 at 10% off, 2 bottles in stock now
Eric Guido-Vinous 93+ points “The 2022 Pinot Noir Durant entices with a sweetly spiced bouquet of wild blueberries, sweet herbs and hints of cinnamon spice. This is juicy and round, with perfumed wild berry fruits elevated by blood orange as bright-toned inner florals resonate throughout. It leaves a tactile staining of minerality and gently grippy tannins, finishing with a tinge of sour citrus that lingers on.”
This is the only listing in the USA today!
Goodfellow Family Cellars Heritage #17, Durant Vineyard Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills 2021 750ml Displayed Price: $69, that’s $65.55 at 5% off and $62.10 at 10% off, 4 bottles in stock now
Winery Note “Deeper red hues and spice on the nose, black cherry, boysenberry, violets, cardamom, balsam, enveloping and textural with juicy, lovely acidity, firm tannins on opening that integrate over several days as the weight and texture of the wine fills in. Aromatically, the high point seems to really arrive after being open for about 48 hours, and the seamless interplay between fruit, baking spice, loamy earth, and hints of kitchen herbs is dramatic and superlative. In the zone the nose here is absolutely intoxicating.”

Hundred Suns:
Both Renée Saint-Amour and Grant Coulter were raised to appreciate Oregon wines, despite hailing from out of state. Their mutual interest and love of adventure brought them to the Valley. This wife-and-husband team launched Hundred Suns as a boutique winery and eventually scrapped together enough cash to purchase Breaker Vineyard, a fifty-year-old site in the Eola-Amity Hills and now home to them, their kids, and their winery.
They do everything by hand, from crafting their wines (Grant was the winemaker at Beaux Freres and Flâneur), distributing in town, and even their stunning label-design. Their wines drink like a love letter to the Willamette Valley. These are unique, from an assortment of some of the most interesting vineyards in the Willamette Valley.
Anyone who’s loved Beaux Freres should pay attention to what this husband-and-wife team are doing at Hundred Suns. This project represents one of the most exciting new labels in the Willamette Valley. Lovers of Oregon wines should stock up now before they become hard to find.
Goodfellow Family Cellars:
Marcus Goodfellow is one of the most talented winemakers in Oregon. We count ourselves lucky to have had a strong relationship with his winery since its early days under the old name of Matello. He is joined by the equally talented and knowledgeable Megan Joy.
Their wines showcase their microscopic understanding of the potential in the terroirs of the Willamette Valley. Together, they craft wines that continually improve—both in the cellar and vintage to vintage. We love the wines for their coiled power and Burgundian structure, and we stack them enthusiastically & abundantly in our own personal cellars to adore for decades to come.
“Marcus Goodfellow is sourcing fruit from some of the finest vineyards in Willamette… dry farmed and from old vineyards planted to an array of clones. We visited the old, gnarled vines at Durant vineyard in Dundee Hills, planted with Pinot Noir in 1973 and with Chardonnay in 1993, and the Whistling Ridge Vineyard in Ribbon Ridge, planted in 1990. ‘Old vines are still the trump card,’ he says. ‘The vines situate themselves to the site. The old vines give wines that are ethereal, elegant, layered and don’t speak too loud.’ The wines combine layers of pure, ripe fruit, earth and amaro-like aromatics.” -Erin Brooks, writing for the Wine Advocate
