“The Rosé has a nice appearance with a light and fresh pink color. This particularly fruity taste of raspberries and strawberries, typical of the Campuget style, has a good and refreshing acidity. Since 1942, pur sole aim has been to produce Rhône Valley Grands Vins, respecting the heritage of our soil and our identity. The round Rhône stones, the Southern sun, the Mistral winds and the Syrah and Grenache grapes are the basic elements which form the identity of Campuget.”

Importer Note
“This rosé is vinified partially by direct press and partially by ‘saignée’, the juice is naturally clarified after a cold ‘débourbage’ of 24 hours, the wine ferments at temperature that never exceeds 16 degrees Celsius and then it is aged on the fine lees for four to six months before bottling. It is a blend of 50% Cinsault, 40% Grenache and 10% Syrah, all of which is planted to soils of clay, limestone and silex. Production is limited: we import approximately 6,000 bottles per annum for the US market.”

Nicolas Greinacher-Vinous 90 points
“Mixing 80% Marsanne with 20% Roussanne from over 40-year-old vines growing on sandy soils, the 2023 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc launches with zesty lemon flesh, yellow apple, white flowers and a slice of pear. Medium-bodied and sapid, the 2023 leaves the spotlight with phenolic bitterness on the nuanced finish. (Drink between 2025-2028).”

Emmanuel Darnaud Hermitage Blanc, Rhone 2022 750ml Displayed Price: $145, that’s $137.75 at 5% off and $130.50 at 10% off, 6 bottles in stock now
Yohan Castaing-Wine Advocate 94+ points
“Entirely crafted from Marsanne planted on granite soils facing southwest, the 2022 Hermitage Blanc is one of the most imposing white wines of the year. Unfurling from the glass with notes of flowers, pear, spices, lemon oil and a deft touch of youthful reduction, it’s full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with a hugely concentrated, deep core of fruit framed by racy acids, granite dry extracts and a long, flinty, slightly smoky finish. This wine will require patience and should be decanted before serving. Only three barrels were produced.”

Domaine Benjamin et David Duclaux Condrieu Les Caillets, Rhone 2019 750ml Displayed Price: $59, that’s $56.05 at 5% off and $53.10 at 10% off, 32 bottles in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 94 points
“I loved the 2019 Condrieu Les Caillets. A real beauty, this supple, sexy Condrieu has classic yellow and citrus fruits, lots of honey and flower notes, medium to full body, and a great finish. It brings lots of fruit yet stays fresh, silky, and clean, and is just a joy to drink. It’s geared for the dinner table and should be enjoyed over the coming 2-3 years.”

Saint Cosme Condrieu, Rhone 2021 750ml Was $69, Displayed Price: $59, that’s $56.05 at 5% off and $53.10 at 10% off, 22 bottles in stock now
Wine Spectator 94 points
“Hefty, modern and lush, with an enticing cascade of creamed pear, mango and papaya flavors cut through with dried herbs and chamomile, backed by a refreshing kick of bitter quinine. A brioche accent adds warmth, but the vein of tangy acidity keeps this clean. Drink now through 2027. 90 cases imported.”

Chateau de Saint Cosme Hominis Fides Blanc, Cotes du Rhone 2022 750ml Was $59, Displayed Price: $54.50, that’s $51.78 at 5% off and $49.05 at 10% off, 18 bottles in stock now
Winery Note
“Limestone sand from the Miocene sea, in the ‘Hominis Fides’ named vineyard. Fermentation in used casks and ageing on fine lees for 10 months. Gunflint, anise, pear and quince. The young massal selection vines in Hominis Fides are growing, developing, putting down deep roots and producing beautiful fruit. Every year, we can see the identity of the vineyard asserting itself and differentiating itself from Le Poste. It is true that the Miocene sea sand offers a truly remarkable foundation both for Grenache and Clairette. We prune the vines as bush vines and lift them on stakes so that we never have to top the shoots in spring. I am against the use of topping in a Mediterranean climate – it makes no sense to use this mini-pruning technique and force vines to grow secondary buds just when they need their fruit to flower.”

Domaine de Saint Cosme Les Deux Albion Blanc, IGP Vaucluse Principaute d’Orange 2023 750ml Displayed Price: $21.90, that’s $20.81 at 5% off and $19.71 at 10% off, 36+ bottles in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 89 points
“Lots of orange blossom, honeyed stone fruits, and floral notes emerge from the 2023 Principaute D’Orange Les Deux Albion Blanc, a medium-bodied, ripe, textured white that’s going to shine on the dinner table.”

Jeb Dunnuck 90 points
“The 2023 Micro-Cosme Sauvignon Blanc And Viognier is terrific, with a Viognier-dominated style in its apricot and floral aromas and flavors. It’s medium-bodied, nicely balanced, has a vibrant, lively mouthfeel, and a great finish. It actually reminds me of Guigal’s Côtes du Rhône Blanc, and it’s well worth seeking out, as I suspect it’s a great value.”

Importer Note
“White wine. Southern Rhône, France. Organic. Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Viognier. Notes of white peach and citrus on the nose and palate. After some time in the glass, fines herbs and hints of almond complement the citrus and fruit flavors. Full-bodied, but shows good and balanced acidity and minerality.”

Domaine Bosquet des Papes Chateauneuf-du-Pape ‘Les 7 de Pignan’, Rhone 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $89, that’s $84.55 at 5% off and $80.10 at 10% off, 23 bottles in stock now
Joe Czerwinski-Wine Advocate 96 points
“A new cuvée, there is a single foudre of the 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape Les 7 de Pignan, a pure Grenache named for the seven small vineyard parcels it emerges from, all on sandy soils in and around Pignan. It showcases the filigreed, floral side of Grenache on sand, with delicate notes of rose petals and resinous herbs, plus raspberries and strawberries. Full-bodied, it’s silky in texture and almost airy in feel, with a lingering, elegant finish.”

Domaine Saint Damien Gigondas Vieilles Vignes, Rhone 2021 750ml Displayed Price: $39, that’s $37.05 at 5% off and $35.10 at 10% off, 36+ bottles in stock now
VinopolNote:
The Louisiane and Souteyrades single vineyard wines were not bottled in the 2021 vintage, but instead the fruit went into this bottling.
Nicolas Greinacher-Vinous 93-95 points “Vivid ruby. A highly fragrant bouquet evokes candied red fruits, smoky minerals and lavender; a spicy nuance builds as the wine opens up. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, juicy raspberry, cherry and floral pastille flavors show good heft, seamless texture and real energy. It finishes spicy and impressively long, with sneaky tannins adding a final grip. This is shaping up to be a highly impressive entry-level bottling, which is not surprising given that this is the only Gigondas that will be bottled this year, so all the juice from the Louisiane and Souteyrades is going into this wine. Get it, lots of it, if you can. Raised in neutral, 50 hectoliter oak foudres.”

Emmanuel Darnaud Hermitage Rouge, Rhone 2021 750ml Displayed Price: $145, that’s $137.75 at 5% off and $130.50 at 10% off, 6 bottles in stock now
Nicolas Greinacher-Vinous 92 points
“The inaugural 2021 Hermitage is a terrific result from this challenging vintage. Darnaud owns two tiny parcels, one in Les Greffieux and one in Les Bessards, from which the grapes are sourced. Checking in at 13.46% alcohol, the fully destemmed 2021 wafts up with fragrant orange rind, raspberry, cranberry, discrete cedar and leafy elements. Medium- to full-bodied and concentrated, it is neatly framed by polished tannins and ends with persistence on the elegant finish.”

Delas Freres Cornas Chante Perdrix, Rhone 2019 750ml Displayed Price: $69, that’s $65.55 at 5% off and $62.10 at 10% off, 32 bottles in stock now
Wine Spectator 93 points
“A core of juicy red currant and bitter plum pāte de fruit flavors is brought into nice focus by a racy, chalk-edged structure and an iron spine, while subtle savory and dark olive accents dart in the background. Best from 2022 through 2034. 1,083 cases made, 60 cases imported. –JM”

Delas Freres Hermitage Les Bessards, Rhone 2019 750ml Displayed Price: $219, that’s $208.05 at 5% off and $197.10 at 10% off, 36+ bottles in stock now
Delas Freres Hermitage Les Bessards, Rhone 2019 1.5L Displayed Price: $449, that’s $426.55 at 5% off and $404.10 at 10% off, 4 magnums in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 99 points
“My favorite release from this estate is consistently their Les Bessards Hermitage, and their 2019 is no exception. Coming from the western part and pure broken granite soils on the west side of this magical hill, it sports a dense purple hue to go with a brilliant perfume of cassis, graphite, scorched earth, burning embers, spring flowers, and peppery herbs. Incredibly complex, layered, and nuanced, with classic Hermitage characteristics, it still stays firmly planted in the ripe, sunny, sexy vintage. Full-bodied, concentrated, and structured on the palate, it has a wealth of tannins, flawless balance, and a great finish. This is pure Hermitage magic that needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years and will evolve for 20-30 years in cold cellars. Hats off to the team at Delas for another incredible wine.”

Domaine Eric et Joel Durand Cornas Empreintes, Rhone 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $44.50, that’s $42.28 at 5% off and $40.05 at 10% off, 24 bottles in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 96 points
“More density and depth, as well as precision, emerge from the 2020 Cornas Empreintes, a smaller production cuvée from 30-year-old vines. Its deep purple hue is followed by a beautiful perfume of black and blue fruits, bloody meat, pepper, and spring flowers. I love its focus and length on the palate, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with plenty of tannins, a great mid-palate, and a salty, bloody finish that keeps you coming back to the glass. It’s a “wow” Cornas for sure.”

James Suckling 95 points
“A remarkable Crozes-Hermitage with drive, structure and plenty of texture. The nose reveals notes of cassis, dark cherries, currants, violets and warm spices. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Chalky and focused, with a juicy core of cherries mingling with the violets. Lively and precise with a serious, compact finish at this stage. Try after 2026.”

Wine Spectator 93 points
“Juicy and well-defined, with a mix of red and black cherry and currant notes that have good energy, with violet, sanguine and singed alder accents filling in throughout. The racy, focused finish pulls everything together. Drink now through 2026. 2,400 cases made, 500 cases imported. — JM”

Domaine Guillaume Gilles Cornas, Rhone 2018 750ml Displayed Price: $108, that’s $102.60 at 5% off and $97.20 at 10% off, 27 bottles in stock now
Rosenthal Wine Note
“Cornas: This is the grand wine of this tiny domaine. The vines are situation on the higher slopes of the Chaillot vineyard. The “terroir” is more complex here with a mixture of soil types and expositions. There are terraces of pure granite that are oriented east – southeast; then, these are supplemented by terraces that sit on a clay-limestone base that have a full southern exposure. The grapes are never destemmed, the cuvaison is long (30 days) and the elevage is in demi-muids for eighteen months. As with the other wines of the domaine, this wine is neither fined nor filtered.”

Domaine de la Chapelle Hermitage La Chapelle, Rhone 2019 750ml Displayed Price: $199, that’s $189.05 at 5% off and $179.10 at 10% off, 33 bottles in stock now
Joe Czerwinski-Wine Advocate 98-100 points
“Might this be the next vintage of La Chapelle to crack triple digits? Knockout aromas of crushed stone, violets, blueberries, and cassis mark the nose of the 2019 Hermitage La Chapelle, while the full-bodied palate is undeniably more intense and powerful than the more elegant 2018. Rich and velvety, it coats the mouth with dark fruit and creamy-textured espresso, yet retains remarkable length and licorice-derived peppery freshness on the finish. Wow!”

Domaine Vincent Paris Cornas Granit 30, Rhone 2023 750ml Displayed Price: $41.50, that’s $39.43 at 5% off and $37.35 at 10% off, 24 bottles in stock now
Nicolas Greinacher-Vinous 90-92 points
“The 2023 Cornas Granit 30 is exquisite, unwinding with alluring rose water, blood orange, black cherry, licorice and stemmy subtleties. Round and refreshing, the 2023 is shaping up to be an accessible Cornas that’s packed with remarkable energy and freshness all the way through to the juicy finish.”

Domaine la Remejeanne Cotes du Rhone Les Chevrefeuilles, Rhone 2022 750ml Displayed Price: $21.90, that’s $20.81 at 5% off and $19.71 at 10% off, 32 bottles in stock now
Winery Note
“Syrah (50%), Grenache (30%), Cinsault (10%), Mourvèdre (10%). A quite light and silky wine with a certain dynamic personnality. Purple-red in color, the Chèvrefeuilles offers a very open nose of fresh red berries; notes of hibiscus and peppercorn. On the palate, we find the same fruity, floral and white pepper aromatic combinaison. This easy-drinking wine remains energetic, with tannins present but powdery. It is round yet balanced. The finish, fresh and delicately bitter, remains long. We recommend serving the wine with beef carpaccio, pâté en croute, but also with oriental, Asian or sweet/savory dishes. Drink within 3/6 years.”

James Suckling 96 points
“This is really fine on the palate with wonderfully integrated tannins that give tension and focus. It’s medium-bodied with lovely berry, cherry, cedar and spice. Peaches and flower stems, too. Creamy texture. Extremely long and vivid. Structured, but showing beautiful drinkability with wonderful balance and form. One to drink or hold.”
Eric Guido-Vinous 95 points “The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino is a gorgeous interpretation of Northwest Montalcino terroir, with a darkly alluring bouquet of sage and rosemary giving way to crushed blackberries and stone dust. This opens with a lovely inner sweetness, perfectly balanced by crisp red fruits, mineral tones and a core of vibrant acidity. It finishes grippy and long yet surprisingly fresh, with a staining of primary concentration that lingers on and on. The 2019 was fermented using 70% whole cluster fruit.”
