Arnaud Lambert

Saumur Dreams

Arnaud Lambert is one of the most important producers in Brézé and Saint-Cyr-En-Bourg, two of the most coveted neighborhoods in Saumur. Clos Rougeard’s famous (and famously expensive) blanc comes from Brézé, but Lambert offers the chance to taste what makes the area special without the $150+ price-tags. The area is geologically diverse, but characterized by the airy limestone that dots the finest vineyards in this part of the Loire. The wines, therefore, have a mineral-edge and delicate tone to them that’s unique.

By contrast, Saint-Cyr has more clay in the topsoil, which produces wines of more overt power and structure.

Hundred Suns’ 2019 Pinot Noirs

Grant Coulter is one of the Pacific Northwest’s rising stars. The former assistant winemaker at Beaux Frères (under tutelage of the legendary Mike Etzel), Grant’s made a name for himself as Flâneur’s Head Winemaker, as well as with his own label: Hundred Suns. Anyone who loves the Beaux Frères or Flâneur wines needs to be paying attention to what Grant is doing.

Hundred Suns represents one of the most exciting new labels in Oregon and we’ve struggled to keep the wines in stock ever since they first arrived last summer.

New Arrivals from Cave Mont Blanc

Perfect for Spring

Cave Mont Blanc was founded in the early 1980s with the stated purpose of reviving abandoned vineyards within Italy’s picturesque Valle d’Aosta. Located in the shadow of Mont Blanc, the area features some of the highest elevation vineyards in all of Europe. Few machines are capable of working such extreme topographies – needless to say, they’re seldom employed within the region.

Weeknight Right Bank Bordeaux

Esprit de Pavie

A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a healthy splash of Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Esprit de Pavie is a classically framed Right Bank red. Approachable in its youth, this is Bordeaux that doesn’t require decades of patient, offering immediate rewards -especially when paired with grilled meats and other hearty dishes. The product of what many consider to be Bordeaux’s finest vintage of the decade, this is a no-brainer for anyone looking for a new weeknight red.
