New Arrival Special Feature:

Henri Richard

You’d be forgiven for not having heard of Domaine Henri Richard – the rare bottles that leave Beaune and Paris cross the Channel, not the Atlantic. It’s located in Gevrey-Chambertin, just past the legendary Domaine Trapet. Founded in 1938 by former cooper, Jean Richard, today the 4th generation manages the estate’s operations with holdings in the Grand Crus of Charmes-Chambertin and Mazoyères-Chambertin. Farming organically since the year 2000 and using practically no new oak in all of their bottlings, the Richards craft some of the finest examples of terroir in the appellation.

2018 Produttori Normale

When the stars don’t quite align in Barbaresco, when even just one vineyard of the Cooperative’s line up doesn’t quite, well, line up, Produttori del Barbaresco uses all of its renowned and glorious fruit in its normale bottling. In 2018, instead of bottling the single vineyard Riservas: Rabaja, Montestefano, Ovello and friends, all of the best (and rigorously selected) fruit went into their straight Barbaresco bottling. This is an incredible opportunity that collectors in the know jump on.

The Return of a Legend:

2013 Burlotto Monvigliero

“A wine that will leave readers weak at the knees”

Burlotto is not the first name on many people’s lips when thinking of Barolo, and it’s a shame since G.B.
