Born in the year the first vines were planted, Jules has literally grown up with Sauvignon Blanc. In 2021 Jules was named “New Zealand Winemaker of the Year” by a panel of industry experts. All wines 100% certified sustainable.Jules Taylor Chardonnay 2022 750ml $19 special, 36 bottles available
Winemaker’s Note “An elegant Chardonnay with fresh, tropical fruit flavours that reflect the beauty of the vineyard without the winemaker’s boots stomping all over it.”

Jules Taylor Pinot Noir 2020 750ml $24 special, 36 bottles available
Winemaker’s Note “Fickle and demanding, this little number is a piece of work, but has turned into some dangerously good Marlborough Pinot Noir.”

Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc 2022 750ml $18 special, 36 bottles available
Winemaker’s Note “Mind-blowingly incredible diversity of full-throttle flavor, within a row, even within a bunch. Grassy, summery, bright honesty with a hint of spill the beans.”

New Arrivals France”Domaine Gerard Boulay, Loire”
“Given the crystalline purity of his Sauvignon Blancs, he has become one of my favorite producers of the central Loire. If you want to know what true Sancerre tastes like, try one of his single-vineyard bottlings. It does not come any better!”– Joel Payne, Vinous
Gerard Boulay Sancerre Clos De Beaujeu 2021 750ml $59 special, 11 bottles available
Wine Notes “The Clos de Beaujeu is among the most historic sites in the village of Chavignol. In the 14th century the Clos de Beaujeu supplied the Cathedral of Bourges with white wine. At that time, Sancerre was famous for it’s red wines. Boulay’s Clos de Beaujeu is a richer, denser step up from the Chavignol village wine.”

Gerard Boulay Sancerre Comtesse 2020 750ml $69 special, 11 bottles available
Wine Notes “The most powerful and complex wine from Boulay’s lineup, with an incredible intensity of fruit and a strong mineral core. Definitely one to put away and follow for years to come…”

Gerard Boulay Sancerre La Cote 2021 750ml $66 special, 11 bottles available
Wine Notes “Boulay’s parcel in “La Grande Côte,” which is partially owned and partically rented, is one of three designated Crus of Chavignol and is reputed for producing wines of incredible precision.”

Gerard Boulay Sancerre Mont Damnes 2021 750ml $59 special, 12 bottles available
Wine Notes “These “hills of the damned” are among the steepest vineyards in Europe. Think of the dramatic slopes of Mosel and you’ll get the idea. Mont Damnés’ reflective soils and south-facing aspect also make it one of Chavignol’s warmest sites, with wines of intense concentration. Think Mosel meets Chablis.”

Gerard Boulay Sancerre Rouge Oriane 2020 750ml $49 special, 24 bottles available
Wine Notes “Although pinot noir based roses from the Loire have built up a lot of cache in the past few years, the Sancerre region used to be renowned for red wines. The cherry and raspberry perfumed nose of this wine is lifted by ample acidity and minerality for a truly elegant expression of Sancerre rouge.

Gerard Boulay Sancerre Chavignol 2022 750ml $36 special, 36+ bottles— ARRIVING JULY 7TH
Wine Notes “Sourced from various parcels in the village of Chavignol from Kimmeridgean limestone soils. All the fruit is hand-harvested and naturally yeast fermentation in tank. Wine is aged 8 months on lees in about 95% tank, 5% large used wood to ensure incredible texture and a prolonged finish.”

Gerard Boulay Sancerre Clos De Beaujeu 2021 1.5L $119 special, 6 bottles available— ARRIVING JULY 7TH

Gerard Boulay Sancerre Rose Chavignol 2022 750ml $33 special, 34 bottles available— ARRIVING JULY 7TH
Wine Notes “The 2022 Sancerre Rose Sibylle reveals aromas of spring flowers, ripe red berries, lemon, rose petals and spices with menthol hints. Perfectly balanced, textured, juicy and fresh, it’s nicely tense with a long, mouthwatering finish. Recommended.”

“Domaine Pepiere, Loire”Pepiere Muscadet Chateau Thebaud 2019 750ml $28 special, 12 bottles available
Winemaker Notes “The grapes are harvested manually, then they are carefully transported to the wine cellar. The pneumatic press is filled by gravity, so grapes are not crushed. The fermentation naturally takes place in an underground vat, for about one month. After this, the aging begins. Domaine de la Pepiere practices “batonnage” (stirring of the lies). The batonnage gives a great aromatic complexity and gustatory richness to this wine. The Château Thébaud passes 30 months on the lees before the bottling. This Cru has a great ageing potential.”

Pepiere Muscadet Clisson 2020 750ml $28 special, 36 bottles available
Winemaker Notes “Set in the Clisson Valley, in the heart of the “Muscadet” appellation, the production area of this “cru” is on the best hillsides of the “Sèvre et Maine” region. This powerful, charming, exceptionally delicate wine is the ideal aperitif. Naturally served with scallop, smoked salmon and other fish cooked in a sauce, it twill astound you with a pan-fried “foie gras” (duck livers preserved in fat) or with mature cheese such as goat cheese or Comté.”
Italy”Gaja Pieve Restituta, Tuscany” Gaja Pieve Santa Restituta Brunello Sugarille 2018 $259 special, 6 bottles available
Wine Spectator 95 Points “A dark, brooding 2018, with accents of smoke, vanilla, iron and tar surrounding a core of cherry and plum flavors. Reveals balsamic elements of eucalyptus and wild herbs on the lingering finish. On the austere side now, with a core of fruit and mineral. Best from 2025 through 2043.”

Gaja Santa Restituta Brunello Di Montalcino 2018 $99 special, 12 bottles available
Vinopolnote “The 2018 Gaja Brunello is young, but extremely lively! The red fruit and herbal notes are bright and uplifting with lithe, well integrated tannins keeping the palette on earth. Great now, but structured to age over the next decade and a half.”

Gaja Pieve Santa Restituta Brunello Rennina 2018 $236 special, 6 bottles available
Wine Spectator 94 Points “Harmonious and bordering on creamy in texture, this red features cherry, raspberry, plum, loam, almond and black pepper aromas and flavors. Reveals pleasant bitterness as this winds down on the lingering aftertaste. Best from 2026 through 2045.”
“D’angelo”D’angelo Aglianico Del Vulture 2019 750ml $21.90 special, 30 bottles available#49 – TOP 100 WINES OF 2022
91 Points Wine Spectator “Compact and fresh, this medium- to full-bodied red reveals macerated black raspberry fruit accented by notes of dried sage, graphite, fig cake and mineral, with firm, dusty tannins. Let this open in the glass or decant ahead of time. Best from 2023 through 2029. 7,000 cases made, 2,500 cases imported.”“Feudo”Feudo Montoni Vrucara Nero D’avola Sicily 2018 750ml $59 special, 12 bottles available
Wine Advocate 93 Points
“This is Fabio Sireci’s top wine, and it shows consistent quality year after year (even in a challenging year such as 2018). The organic Feudo Montoni 2018 Sicilia Nero d’Avola Vrucara (with 5,700 bottles made) is a dark and penetrating expression with sweet cherry and blackberry contrasted against tobacco, smoke and baking spice. It delivers nice softness and textural weight.”
Germany
Peter Lauer Reisling Sekt Brut 2020 750ml $39 special, 18 bottles availableVinopolnote “Vintage Sekt – methode traditionelle (Champenoise); hand-riddled; vintage and disgorgement date noted on bottle”

Peter Lauer Fass 6 Senior 2022 750ml $28 special, 15 bottles available
Importer’s Notes ” ‘Senior’ is in fact a single-vineyard wine sourced completely from the Grand Cru Kupp. With an average vine age of around 70 years and a plethora of ungrafted vines, this is a wine that punches well above its price. It is Grand Cru for the price of village, plain and simple.”

Stein Secco Sparkling Rose 2022 750ml $26 special 24 bottles available
Vinopolnote: Pinot Noir with approximately 20% Cabernet and Merlot.Austria Kracher Pinot Gris Trocken 2018 750ml $11.90 special, 36 bottles available
Wine Enthusiast “Vivid and rich notions of ripe juicy yellow pear and baked pear tell the tale of the hot 2018 summer. The dry palate corrals this ripeness with its textural pithy richness, lending it balance in its boldness. This is rounded, full-bodied, dry and very fruity.”

Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc 2020 750ml $149 special, 23 bottles available
Burghound “Outstanding Top Value. A cool, pure and very pretty nose reflects notes of green apple, citrus and discreet spice wisps. There is very good delineation to the delicious middle weight flavors that are suffused with underlying tension and fine balance on the clean and dry finale. This is an excellent Bourgogne – moreover, it is one that should reward short to mid-term cellaring.”Olga Raffault Chinon Les Picasses 2007 750ml $59 special, 12 bottles available
Winery Notes “Les Picasses is the most famous Chinon lieu-dit, close to the village of Beaumont-En-Véron on the north bank of the Vienne River. It is a slope with full southern exposure and chalky clay-limestone soils, the combination resulting in fully ripened, structured wines. Raffault’s mid-slope vines are at least 50 years old and are worked organically and harvested by hand. The fruit is destemmed and the whole, uncrushed berries are fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tank; fermentation and maceration last for 25-30 days, depending on the vintage. The wine is aged for 2-3 years in oak and chestnut foudres ranging from 30-50 hectoliters; it is then further aged in tank and bottle before release about four years after the vintage. Les Picasses is the fullest-bodied, most structured and most complex of the Raffault reds.”

“Bernard Baudry”

Beginning his education and career in Burgundy, Bernard Baudry has brought unparalleled quality to Chinon and become one of the most outstanding producers in the Loire. Not only does he have the talent to make delicious and consistent wines, vintage to vintage, but he is also fortunate enough to have vineyard land that showcases many of the varied soil types of the appellation.

Bernard Baudry Chinon Croix Boissee Blanc 2019 750ml $44 special, 8 bottles available
Winery Note “The very chalky soil imparts La Croix Boissée with minerality and a dense body. This is a nice wine for gastronomy with notes of white fruits and a fine salinity. Quantity is limited.”

Bernard Baudry Chinon Le Domaine Rouge 2019 750ml $24 special, 64 bottles available
Vinous 90 Points “The 2019 Chinon Le Domaine provides excellent concentration of fruit while remaining light on its feet. As well as bright primary fruit, it offers smoky bacon, spice and medicinal characters. There’s lovely sappy texture on the finish, which Baudry puts down to the limestone soils of the Chinon plateau that typically grip the side of the mouth. You can enjoy this in its youth, but it has an additional element of seriousness that means its future will stretch out to the medium term.”

Bernard Baudry Chinon Les Granges 2020 750ml $20.90 special, 10 bottles available
Vinous 89 Points “Sourced from a single block on the valley floor, where the vines have their feet in free-draining sandy/gravel soils, the 2020 Chinon Les Granges is made a lighter, fruit-driven style with a fine-grained tannic profile. This flows easily with no sense of anything being forced. It’s full of bright raspberry, violets and a hint of blackberries and cream; there’s a mere whiff of reduction on opening, so give it a little bit of air. Easy to like, bright and fresh and can be enjoyed in youth.”

Bernard Baudry Chinon Clos Guillot 2020 750ml $36 special, 36+ bottles available
Importer’s Note “Le Clos Guillot is a powerhouse, an earthy, feral wine that throws sediment like it’s been aging for thirty years.”

“Famille Joly”
Pioneers in biodynamic viticulture, Famille Joly embody the intersection of history and refined technique. Utilizing minimal intervention winemaking to preserve the integrity of the vineyard as it becomes wine, their long-lived Savennieres are a thing of legend, absolutely a pinnacle of the style.

Joly Clos De La Coulee De Serrant 2019 750ml $135 special, 36 bottles available
Wine Advocate 98 Points “Produced from seven hectares of vineyards aged from 40 to 50 years old, Joly’s 2019 Clos de la Coulée de Serrant opens with a clear, bright yet enormously dense and complex bouquet of crushed stones, herbs and fine but dense and multilayered fruit that needs air to open up, yet it shows its class immediately. On the palate, this is a rich and intense, full-bodied, tight and concentrated yet elegant and stimulating salty Chenin with firm tannins intertwined with a crystalline acidity that carries this highly complex icon wine to a long and compact yet elegant finish. There is a remarkable purity, freshness and energy in the aftertaste that you sometimes might have missed in former vintages.”

Joly Coulee De Serrant Savennieres Vieux Clos 2019 750ml $69 special, 12 bottles available
Wine Advocate 95+ Points “Joly’s 2019 Les Vieux Clos displays a straw-yellow color and opens with a deep, clear, elegant, concentrated and very complex bouquet of ripe yellow-fleshed fruits (mirabelles, persimmons, passion fruit), quinces and pears intertwined with schist and iodine notes of crushed stones and quartz as well as floral aromas. The exciting impression of the nose is proceeded on the palate, where this full-bodied and fiery Savennières has a seamless texture and a crystalline as well as elegant structure with ripe and concentrated fruit and lingering crystalline and salty acidity. The wine has fine and textural tannins and develops a very intense and complex finish.”

Joly Coulee De Serrant Savennieres Vieux Clos 2020 750ml $69 special, 17 bottles available
Wilson Daniels Importer Note “Les Vieux Clos provides an inviting taste into the Famille Joly style. The 5.5 hectares vineyard is planted on light slopes facing east in the mountainous AOC Savennières appellation. The soil is different here, with more sand in the first 2 feet. Yields are kept at 25 hectoliters per hectare (well below the 50 hl/ha requirement of the appellation). Unique to this wine in the portfolio, fermentation can be completed partly in tank. The resulting wine provides expressive exotic notes of ginger and coriander balanced with candied pear and an accent of salinity. Les Vieux Clos is often considered the most aromatic of the three wines.”

“Jonathan Didier Pabiot”
Jonathan-Didier Pabiot is a quiet, but transformative force in the Pouilly-Fumé. His unwavering commitment to natural viticulture and detailed dedication in the cellar have become the benchmark for production in the region.

JD Pabiot Pouilly Fume Aubaine 2020 750ml $39 special, 18 bottle available
Wine Advocate 93+ Points “From a one-hectare limestone vineyard of roughly 35 years and aged on the full lees for 18 months in subterranean concrete cisterns, the 2020 Pouilly Fumé Aubaine offers a pure, intense, dense and fresh, beautifully iodine and crunchy nose of ripe white fruits. On the palate, this is a full-bodied, intense and structured, stimulatingly pure yet also enormously rich and textured Pouilly with tension and mouthwatering salinity in the finish. A complex and powerful wine with mineral freshness and tension. Gorgeous. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at ProWein in Düsseldorf in May 2022.”

JD Pabiot Pouilly Fume Elisa 2021 750ml $28 special, 33 bottles available
Wine Advocate 91 Points “Sold as Prélude until the 2020 vintage, the 2021 Pouilly Fumé Élisa offers an intense, beautifully clear, fresh and spring-like vegetal and crisp as well as spicy but substantial bouquet with leafy and green asparagus aromas. Based on four- to 12-year-old vines, this is a pure, fresh and saline but also stunningly rich and intense Pouilly with this gorgeous leafy and phenolic freshness and bite that I haven’t detected in the Sancerrois for some years. The finish is refreshing and structural and very stimulating. 12.5% stated alcohol.”

JD Pabiot Pouilly Fume Leon 2020 750ml $33 special, 20 bottles available
Wine Advocate 92 Points “The former Florilège comes with a new name this year. Predominantly from limestone soils but also silex, the 2020 Pouilly Fumé Léon offers a clear, deep, fresh and spicy, quite complex and iodine bouquet with great precision and mineral intensity. Aged in stainless steel, concrete and 20% oak barrels (228 and 500 liter), this is a rich and round, very elegant and aromatic Pouilly-Fumé with good mineral and fruity freshness and a long, intense and tensioned finish that reveals fine tannins and crisp grip.”

JD Pabiot Pouilly Fume Luminance 2020 750ml $49 special, 22 bottles available
Wine Advocate 94 Points “From Kimmeridgian limestone, the 2020 Pouilly Fumé Luminance (known as “Prédilection” until the 2019 vintage) is excitingly pure and mineral on the saline and complex nose that indicates ripe and concentrated fruit. On the palate, this is a rich and intense, finely tannic, bitter yet stimulatingly fresh and saline Pouilly with a long and powerful finish.

Torre Beati Cerasuolo Rosa-Ae 2022 750ml $19.50 special, 32 bottles available
Vinous 92 Points “The 2022 Cerasuolo d’abruzzo Rosa-Ae blows off a whiff of reduction to reveal a profoundly satisfying bouquet of rose petals, wild strawberries,  and wet stone. This sizzles on the Patale, blending tantalizing acidity with minerals and ripe white cherry fruits. The 2022 finishes with marvelous freshness and potency. It ends with a pleasantly chewy sensation and wild berry hints. This is beautifully done and wonderfully balanced at just .2 grams of residual sugar per liter.”

Clos Cibonne Tibouren Provence Rose Tradition 2021 $39 special, 7 bottles available
Wine Spectator 91 Points “Rich and full, this intensely savory rosé is texturally very pure and integrated, with a beguiling mix of sea salt–coated pink grapefruit, rose petal and tangerine flavors. Notes of chamomile tea and a green herbal thread add complexity through the succulent, penetrating finish. Tibouren and Grenache.”

Domaines Ott Chateau Romassan Bandol Rose 2021 $54.50 special, 20 bottles available
Wine & Spirits 96 Points “Chateau Romassan sits at the foot of the hilltop village Le Castellet, a few miles north of the Bay of Bandol. The Otts rely on mourvedre for the bulk of their rose, this one includes 30 percent cinsault and 15 percent grenache), and, thought 2021 was another hot summer here, Romassan’s poor limestone and sandstone soils produced a deeply savory wine. This pale Bandol seems to have inhaled the local scrubland and seaside breezes, presenting that savory edge alongside husk cherry, grapefruit and pale melon flavors. Firm and versatile, it would pair nicely with anything from bouillabaisse to a Nicoise salad; or take it abroad alongside chicken yakitori.”

Peyrassol Le Clos Peyrassol Rose 2019 1.5L $129 special, 8 bottles available
Wine Advocate 93 Points “Predominantly Tibouren, with the balance of the blend being Grenache and Rolle, Peyrassol’s super pale 2019 Cotes de Provence Rose Le Clos Peyrassol offers up scents of crushed stone, garrigue, white peach and lime, all tinged with tart red berries. It’s medium-bodied on the palate, with a silky-wet stone feel and a lingering finish that seems to build in red fruit intensity while remaining citrusy and refreshing at the same time. One of the best wines in this year’s tasting, this is a limited-production cuvée from a walled vineyard located on the estate.”

Peyrassol Le Clos Peyrassol Rose 2021 750ml $69 special, 34 bottles available
Vinous 94 Points “Vivid onion skin color. A highly perfumed and complex bouquet evokes fresh citrus and pit fruits, strawberry and pungent flowers, along with building mineral and succulent herb elements. Shows excellent clarity and depth to its juicy red fruit, nectarine and mango flavors, which are sweetened by a background of vanilla note. Finishes impressively long and silky, with the mineral and floral note resonating. ” VintageWinesPointsPrice and Availability2021Ameztoi Txakolina Rubentis Rosado 750mlVinous 91 Points

Proprieta Sperino Lessona 2016 750ml WAS $79 NOW $69 special, 10 bottles available
Tasting Notes: “Lessona is comprised of 100% Nebbiolo, sourced from what Luca De Marchi says would be the two Grand Cru vineyards in the region (if a classification ever occurs), Covà and Monfalcone. After rigorous selection of fruit, the grapes were de-stemmed and pressed softly to favor the aromatic profile of perfectly ripe Nebbiolo in this excellent vintage. On the palate, the wine is powerful, but with a silken finesse, with a core of succulent red and black fruit flavors that echo the nose, all of which is seasoned by a persistent mineral acidity that carries the flavors through a seemingly endless finish.”

Proprieta Sperino L’franc Bandit 2016 750ml WAS $119 NOW $99 special, 12 bottles available
Tasting Notes “100% Cabernet Franc. Chocolate and earthy notes on the nose, followed by cassis, tobacco and plum flavours on the palate. This elegant, medium-bodied wine is beautifully balanced with supple tannins and a long elegant finish.”
Isole E Olena Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2015 WAS $89 NOW $79, 6 bottles
Vinous 96+ Points “The 2015 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, essentially a selection of the best barrels of Cepparello, is a gorgeous wine. More than anything, the 2015 is remarkable considering the challenges of a growing season in which rain during harvest created significant challenges. Nevertheless, Paolo De Marchi coaxed all of the potential out of his vines in 2015, adding a good dollop of Petit Verdot to the Sangiovese in crafting the Gran Selezione. Dense, powerful and beautifully textured, with intense underpinnings of saline minerality. The 2015 has a brilliant future, but it won’t see the light until fall 2020 at the very earliest.”

Caiarossa Aria Di Caiarossa Toscana 2015 750ml WAS $33 NOW $29, 45 bottles available
Wine Advocate 92 Points “The selection of grapes in this blend has changed a bit, with much younger vines of Syrah, older Alicante vines, filled out by Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2015 Aria di Caiarossa goes through 20% new oak and shows a nice richness and velvety mouthfeel. It is immediate and exuberant and a bit sweeter than past vintages.”

Daniel-Etienne Defaix Chablis Les Lys 2006 750ml Was $59 Now $49 special, 6 bottles available
Advocate 94 Points “The 2006 Chablis 1er Cru Les Lys is showing beautifully, offering up inviting aromas of pear, honeycomb, mandarin oil, warm bread and oyster shell. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with an enveloping core of fruit, racy acids and a long, saline finish, it’s fleshy but controlled, with more texture than the Côte de Léchet and more structure than the Vaillons.”

Daniel-Etienne Defaix Chablis Vaillons 2008 750ml Was $59 $49 special, 6 bottles available
Wine Advocate 94 Points “The 2008 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillon is a brilliant wine from Defaix. Unwinding in the glass with scents of citrus oil, drawn butter, clear honey and oyster shell, it’s medium to full-bodied, racy and chiseled, with a deep core of fruit, tangy acids and a long, saline finish. It’s already sold out at the domaine, but readers may be able to find bottles circulating on the marketplace.”

Caiarossa Toscana Rosso 2016 750ml WAS $66 NOW $59 special, 26 bottles available
Wine Advocate 96 Points “The 2016 Caiarossa will be released in September. This wine is a blend of seven grapes—42% Cabernet Franc, 25% Merlot, 15.5% Syrah, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 4.5% Sangiovese and 1% Alicante. This vintage sees a slightly higher percentage of Cabernet Franc than usual, but I am told that the 2018 edition will see more Syrah instead. The bouquet presents a beautiful first wave of dark fruit that pushes the limits of ripeness but remains safely within the realm of elegance. The aromas are balanced and focused with blackberry, cassis, and light touches of salty or rusty mineral. The wine is not too constructed or big in the mouth, rather is shows a delicate level of elegances that absolutely seals the deal.”

Cantina Del Pino Barbaresco Ovello 2017 750ml WAS $59 NOW $49 special, 23 bottles available
Wine Advocate 94+ Points “Considering the untimely passing of Renato Vacca in March of 2020, there is a lot of emotion coming back to this wine: It has always been an expression of Barbaresco nostalgia and romanticism, even when its creator was alive and well, working in these vines located directly under his family house. The Cantina del Pino 2017 Barbaresco Ovello bears his winemaking imprint with balance and elegance that never misses a beat. This vintage offers more density and concentration for sure, and the positioning of the Ovello cru overlooking the Tanaro River Valley sets the wine up for open-knit characteristics and suave softness. Those impressions are amplified in this vintage but are not overblown.”

Luigi Baudana Barolo Baudana 2017 750ml Was $79 Now $69 special, 16 bottles available
Wine Enthusiast 96 Points “Balsamic aromas of camphor and cedar mingle with rose and leather on this full-boded, savory red. Structured and delicious, the juicy palate is still youthfully austere, delivering ripe Marasca cherry, crushed raspberry, baking spice and licorice framed in noble tannins before a black tea finish.”

Luigi Baudana Barolo Baudana 2018 750ml Was 84.50 Now $69 special, 17 bottles available
Wine Advocate 94 Points “With fruit from Serralunga d’Alba, the 2018 Barolo Baudana is a very different wine when compared to the other single-vineyard expressions from this estate. This has to do with site and soil, and in the case of this celebrated subzone, the wines are always more powerful, more structured and mineral-driven. Dark fruit is followed by rusty notes of iron ore and crushed clay. This wine offers good substance both in terms of finish and texture. Cascina Adelaide does a great job with the Baudana.”

Luigi Baudana Barolo Cerretta 2018 750ml Was $79 Now $69 special, 18 bottles available
Vinous 93 Points “The 2018 Barolo Cerretta is a potent, searing wine, its mid-weight structure notwithstanding. Scorching tannins wrap around a core of dark red/black fruit, gravel, smoke, crushed rocks, menthol, licorice and game. The 2018 is going to need a number of years to come around and for those formidable tannins to soften.”

Luigi Baudana Barolo Serralunga 2018 750ml Was $59 Now $51.50 special, 21 bottles available
Vinous 91 Points “The 2018 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d’Alba is redolent of savory and ferrous notes woven into a core of dried red cherry fruit. Spice, mint and tobacco develop later, adding pretty shades of nuance. Readers will find a super-classic Serralunga Barolo, but one that won’t need more than a few years to be at its best.”We’ve marked down select wines from top brands like

Bollinger R.D. 2004 1.5L $519 special, 4 bottles available
Wine & Spirits 98 Points “Time has graced this wine, proving the value of Bollinger’s policy of long aging on the lees followed by prompt release after disgorgement. This RD (Recently Disgorged) 2004 is a joyous wine, staunch, cold and powerful at first, transforming to fresh fruit shadowed by darker tones of barrel fermentation. As it opens in the glass, revealing racy energy, a range of floral pear and apple flavors emerge, resonant with a sense of limestone capturing the sun and reflecting it back in pale power. Enjoy this over the course of an evening as its presence shifts, providing varied perspectives on a great Champagne.”
Wine Enthusiast 98 Points “Top 100 Cellar Selection in 2019. The wine’s name stands for recently disgorged and this vintage Champagne was taken off its lees in 2018. That gave many years for it to develop its depth of flavor, richness and beautifully memorable toasty flavors. Drink through 2028.”

Louis Roederer Cristal 2014 750ml $349 Special, 7 Bottles Available
#1 Top 100 Cellar Selections 2022 – Wine Enthusiast
Wine Spectator 98 Points  “This vivid Champagne shows up-front and linear definition, thanks to rapierlike acidity, with finely meshed flavors of ripe black cherry and mandarin orange fruit, raw almond, anise and cardamom spice as well as a touch of honeycomb, which all unfurl and expand on the fine, creamy palate. Sleek acidity continues through to the finish, with additional racy character provided by a streak of minerally saline and chalk, which gains momentum through the midpalate and rings out on the well-cut, lasting finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2040”

Louis Roederer Cristal Rose 2013 750ml $619 Special, 3 Bottles Available
Wine Advocate 99 Points “A candidate for wine-of-the-vintage honors in Champagne, Roederer’s 2013 Cristal Rosé is showing brilliantly, unfurling in the glass with notes of crisp orchard fruit, white flowers, red berries, stone fruit, freshly baked bread and tangerine oil. Full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, the vintage’s bright girdling acids are amply cloaked in exuberant, expressive and notably concentrated fruit; so while this Cristal is as tensile and age-worthy as one would expect, it’s also impressively fleshy and generous given the year. Concluding with an intensely sapid finish, the 2013 isn’t as overtly structured as the muscular, tightly wound 2012: rather, it’s the 2013’s alliance of cut and flesh, precision and charm that’s so compelling this year. This is another banner vintage for what I consider the reigning champion of the region’s tête de cuvée bottlings, and it will be worth an effort to acquire.”
Vinous 98 Points “The 2013 Cristal Rosé is searingly intense right out of the glass, just like the Blanc, except it has a bit more fleshiness because of the skin contact on the Pinot. Cristal Rosé has one of the best track records for aging in Champagne. I suspect the 2013 will join the ranks of the epic vintages, but it is painfully tight today. The blend is 55% Pinot Noir (from Aÿ) and 45% Chardonnay (from Avize and Mesnil) done in the classic Roederer infusion style in which Pinot Noir is vinified on the skins and then blended with Chardonnay to complete the fermentation. About 25% of the lots were done in oak, while malolactic fermentation was blocked.”

Louis Roederer Cristal Vinotheque 1999 750ml $1245 special, 3 bottles available
James Suckling 98 Points “The nose has such beautiful, autolysis character with brown-mushroom and toasted-almond aromas. The nose has still-fresh lemons and oyster shell. Very smooth, pastry-like texture on the palate with even layers and a core of fresh lemons and peaches. The striking thing here is the balance and melted-together complexity. In a very great place. This spent seven years sur latte, seven sur pointe and was disgorged in 2014. Drink now.”

Pol Roger Cuvee Sir Winston Churchill Brut 2013 750ml $319 special, 6 bottles available
Wine Enthusiast 98 points “Although ready to drink, this very fine Champagne has plenty of aging to go. With its rich Pinot Noir and ripe fruits, it is generous while also fully textured. Complex and balanced, mature fruit and toast working together, this is a great wine.”
Jeb Dunnuck 97 points “The 2013 Champagne Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill Brut, composed of 95% Pinot Noir, is the 20th release of this cuvée, and this version is robust, classic, and noble in its expression. The color is a medium straw, and the aromas are complex and compelling, with smoke, graham biscuit, currant, and orange marmalade. It has immediate appeal and charm. The palate is structured, yet refreshing, and savory with grip and an energetic citrus that doesn’t seem to taper.” VintageWinePointsPrice and Availability2016Christophe Baron Champagne Les Alouettes 1.5LVinous 94 Points$259 special, 4 bottles in stock2017Christophe Baron Champagne Les Alouettes 1.5LWine Advocate 95 Points$259 special, 7 bottles in stock2016Christophe Baron Champagne Dessus Marie 1.5LVinous 96 Points $279 special, 1 bottles in stock2017Christophe Baron Champagne Dessus Marie 1.5LVinous 96 Points$259 special, 3 bottles in stock2017Christophe Baron Champagne Hautes Blanches 1.5LVinous 95 Points$269 special, 5 bottles in stockNVAndre Clouet Brut Grande Reserve 3LWine Advocate 90 Points$279 special, 6 bottles availableNVAndre Clouet Brut Rose 3LWine Advocate 90 Points$319 special, 3 bottles available2017Doyard Clos De L’abbaye 1er Cru 750mlWine Advocate 94 Points$159 special, 2 bottles available2000Duval-Leroy Femme De Champagne 1.5LWine Spectator 94 Points$299 special, 2 bottles available2013Georges Laval Les Longues Violes Brut Nature 750ml Vinous 96 Points$779 special, 1 bottles available2015Georges Laval Les Chenes 1er Cru Brut Nature 750mlJohn Gilman 96 Points$249 special, 2 bottles available1990Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rose 750ml Wine Spectator 94 points
