New Arrivals 2/17/2026

We’ve got a diverse set of new arrival wines for you this week, outstanding historic estates and newer discoveries included. The jewels of the week are the 2012 and 2014 Bordeaux we’ve brought in from lesser known but mighty artisanal producers. These vintages were never flashy over extracted, but rather exist in that special classical realm of wine that true enthusiasts adore. If you want to taste Bordeaux in the style that made it famous, these beauties are just hitting their drinking window.

Bordeaux

Chateau Sociando-Mallet Haut Medoc 2012 750ml $59 special, 1 bottle available now
Wine Advocate 90 points “Once again proprietor Jean Gautreau has hit pay dirt with a beautiful blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Wonderfully sweet, ripe tannins seem to be a rule of thumb from this great terroir just to the north of St.-Estèphe’s Château Montrose. A beautiful deep ruby/purple color, decent acidity, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel and stunning fruit put this wine right in the midst of the best classified crus from the Médoc, yet it has never been classified. Go figure. Softer than I would have suspected (and I’ve been following and buying this wine since the mid-1970s), this wine will still age beautifully for 10-15+ years.”

Chateau Marojallia Margaux 2012 750ml $69 special, 3 bottles available now
Wine Advocate 93 points “Another brilliant example from Murielle Andraud and her partner Jean-Luc Thunevin, the intense 2012 Marojallia (a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) displays an opaque purple color and a beautiful nose of charcoal, graphite, blueberry and blackberry fruit. Some toasty oak is present, but the sweetness of the tannins, the multi-dimensional mouthfeel, and terrific length and intensity make this one of the great stars of 2012. Drink it over the next 20 years.”

Chateau Lynsolence Saint-Emilion 2012 750ml $69 special, 2 bottles available now
Wine Advocate 94 points “An impressive, strong effort from Lynsolence, this wine, which normally is 100% Merlot, tipping the scale at 14.5%, has an almost opaque bluish/purple color that is followed by a full-bodied, very concentrated, beautifully made wine with sweet tannin, a multi-dimensional mouthfeel and almost skyscraper-like intensity and richness. This is a star of the vintage and a great, great effort from Lynsolence. Production from the tiny 6.5-acre vineyard was a measly 22 hectoliters per hectare. Drink it over the next 15 or more years.”

Chateau Clos de l’Oratoire Saint Emilion 2012 750ml $69 special, 6 bottles available now
Wine Advocate 94 points “One of the von Neipperg estates, the 2012 Clos de l’Oratoire is an undeniable success story. Dense ruby/purple, with plenty of crème de cassis, roasted coffee, licorice and spice, full-bodied, opulent and sexy, it is a hedonist’s dream wine. Pure and long, it has a great finish and terrific palate presence. Drink it over the next 12-15 years. Yields were exceptionally small in 2012 – 25 hectoliters per hectare.”

Château Prieuré-Lichine Margaux 2014 750ml $59 special, 6 bottles available now
James Suckling 92 points “This is a fragrant and very attractive mid-weight wine with plenty of ripe fruit to balance the full, dry tannins, which give it some real power on the finish. Drink or hold.”

Chateau Siran Margaux 2014 750ml $49 special, 5 bottles available now
James Suckling 92 points “The red and black fruits and delicately herbal character make this quite a complex wine. For this appellation and given the wine’s youthfulness, the balance of fruit, tannins and alcohol is almost seamless. Drink in 2020 but already gorgeous.”

Chateau Talbot Saint-Julien 2014 750ml $69 special, 2 bottles available now
James Suckling 94 points “The smoky oak, full body and chunky tannins make a bold statement; indeed, the wine has plenty of flesh and packs a big tannic punch on the finish. Best Talbot in years.”

France Broadly

Rene Rostaing Le Vassal Rouge Languedoc 2023 750ml $31.90 special, 12 bottles available now
James Suckling 91 points “A juicy, fresh and crunchy red made of grenache, syrah and mourvedre, with cassis, strawberries and mild spices on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with silky tannins. Vivid, bright and succulent, with a delicious finish. Drink now.”

Rene Rostaing Le Vassal Rouge Languedoc 2022 750ml $29 special, 19 bottles available now
Importer Note “70% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre & 15% Grenache. Cool vineyard site on limestone cobbles near the town of Nîmes. Traditional vinification, including wild yeast fermentation. Stem inclusion and length of maceration depend on the vintage.”

Carmes De Rieussec Sauternes 2019 750ml $39 special, 12 bottles available now
Falstaff 92 points “Pale golden yellow, silver reflections. Fine honey nuances, ripe peach, delicate pineapple, a hint of new wood, attractive fruit. Medium complexity, white peach, aromatically characterized by semillon, a hint of pear on the finish, rather restrained sweetness, already easy to drink, powerful aftertaste.”

Chateau De Pez Saint-Estephe 2026 750ml $49 special, 11 bottles available now
James Suckling 93 points “St.-Estèphe is supposed to be a robust and hard wine, but this is elegant and sophisticated with fine, cassis and lemon-peel aromas, polished tannins and a long, rather delicate finish. Drink or hold.”

Thomas-Labaille Sancerre L’Authentique 2024 (Re-Arrival) 750ml $31.90 special, 14 bottles available now
Importer Note “100% Sauvignon Blanc. Originally labeled simply as “Sancerre”, L’Authentique is Thomas-Labaille’s multi-parcel estate bottling. All of the vines are on the Kimmeridgian limestone soils of Chavignol and average twenty-five years old; they are sustainably farmed and harvested by hand. The wine is fermented with native yeasts in fiberglass and cement tanks, aged on its lees in stainless steel tanks for four to six months and bottled without filtration.”

Jean Paul Dubost Beaujolais Lantignie 2024 750ml $18 special, 36 bottles available now
Importer Note “This is the primary production wine of Dubost from several parcels totalling ten hectares surrounding their home village of Lantignié, just south of Chiroubles and west of Régnié, with a terroir of Muscovite granite and blue clay. The gamay undergoes a classic semi-carbonic maceration of whole clusters over 15 days in steel tanks, with twice daily pump-overs, and is bottled in the spring with a light filtration and no added sulphur. The Beaujolais-Lantignié actually drinks more like a cru–which it may well become one day–and is frankly a terrific value. The aromas are lifted, tweaked by the barest hint of appetizing volatility, and the fruit and acidity are gorgeously interwoven.”

Italy

Argiano Solengo Toscana 2020 750ml $76.50 special, 6 bottles available now
Wine Enthusiast 97 points “The nose is dark yet polished, like a new leather jacket, with aromas of blackberry, black olive, wet stone, dirt and playful violets. The palate mixes a more pronounced, sweeter streak of berries with an enduring metallic earthiness, before a chili chocolate finish. Powerful tannins and acid ensure ageworthiness.”

Terlano Pinot Noir Alto Adige 2023 750ml $35.50 special, 12 bottles available now
Wine Spectator 92 points “There’s a ripe juiciness to the raspberry and wild strawberry fruit on display in this medium-bodied red that’s well met by a savory underpinning of smoke and Earl Grey notes. Supple and well-balanced, with rich hints of roasted plum and toast on the finish.”

Terlano Chardonnay Alto Adige 2023 750ml $21.90 special, 10 bottles available now
Wine Spectator “Fresh and open-knit, with flavors of Golden Delicious, persimmon and elderflower, plus a touch of almond skin, all layered with well-cut acidity. Spiced finish. Drink now.”

 Austria

Neumeister Stradener Sauvignon Blanc Styria, Austria 2023 750ml $33 special, 24 bottles available now
Importer Note “Named after the Neumeister’s hometown of Straden, this Ortswein (village wine) exemplifies Christoph’s texturally expansive yet intricately chiseled style of Sauvignon Blanc. Fermented naturally after a two-day maceration on the skins, it spends the better part of a year on its fine lees in used oak casks between 500 and 2500 liters in capacity. Expressive in its youth but capable of significant positive development in bottle (like all of Christoph’s white wines), this has an emerald-green cast (not to be confused with under-ripeness) to its aromas and flavors, with a texture simultaneously airy and concentrated.”

Germany

Markus Molitor Riesling Sekt Brut NV 750ml $21.90 special, 11 bottles available now
Winemaker Note “Aromas reminiscent of ripe pear, red apple, grapefruit, nectarine, and white peach. Notes of brioche, stone, and white pepper on the palate. Clear, lively, refreshing with a fine bubble and refreshing mineral finish. Markus Molitor has been producing sparkling wines since 1982 and is one of the pioneers in the tradition of sparkling wine in this region. The grapes for this wine come from a variety of Molitor’s vineyards along the river Mosel. The slate soil imparts minerality and focus to the finished wine.Vinification: The grapes are carefully selected, crushed, and then the must is fermented in large wooden barrels. A second fermentation follows in tank.”

Canary Islands

Envinate Benje Blanco Canary Islands 2024 750ml $33 special, 24 bottles available now
Wine Advocate 95 point “The 2024 Benje Blanco comes from the same plots that produce the red Benje, because they are all field blends, and the whites are picked three weeks earlier than the reds. They don’t do flor anymore (since 2023) because of the heat, and it’s too risky without sulfur. It has a pale golden color and a mealy nose with some notes of cereals, dry flowers and pollen. It has a serious and stony palate, coming through as a very serious white well above what the price level might suggest. The parameters show the contained but good ripeness, under 12% alcohol, with good balance and freshness, pH 3.02 and 6.9 grams of acidity. There was a step up in 2023, and there’s another one in 2024. 18,500 bottles and 150 magnums produced. It was bottled in July 2025.”

Douro

Altano Douro DOC White 2024 (Re-arrival) 750ml $16 special, 36 bottles available now
Winery Note “Invigorating aromatic freshness, with hints of white owers (honeysuckle), pineapple, lychee and green apple and just a touch of banana. Crispy acidity gives the wine great definition and balance. Gloriously fresh on the palate with the pineapple and green apple coming through as well as an attractive herbal note, ending with green tea.”

Greece

Kir-Yianni Xinomavro Akakies Sparkling Rose 2024 (Re-arrival) 750ml $24 special, 15 bottles available now
Winery Note “Bright rich pink color with persistent bubbles. The nose is intensely fruit-forward with aromas of wild strawberry, white-fleshed cherry, and tomato. The mouth is rich and fruity with vibrant acidity and a delicate touch of sweetness. Delicious, refreshing finish.”
