Patricia Green Cellars
From the beautiful location on the Ribbon Ridge, Patricia Green Cellars has been crafting dozens of parcel- and vineyard-specific Pinot Noirs from across the Willamette Valley. Jeb Dunnuck 94 points “Jeweled ruby/magenta in color, the 2022 Pinot Noir Chehalem Mountain Vineyard is perfumed and floral on the nose, with fresh notes of ripe black raspberries, violets, sweet sage, fresh earth, and a hint of umami. The palate has a lot of purity and a crystalline, ripe feel, with a hint of delicate richness coming through. More red-fruited than the 2021, the inclusion of some Calera and Dijon clones gives it its textural component, and it has ripe tannins and a long finish. Drink 2025-2040.”

Eric Guido-Vinous 92 points “Delicate and understated in the glass, the 2023 Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard wafts up with nuances of geranium, rose, wet stones and wild strawberries. It possesses a pretty inner sweetness and ripe wild berry fruit across a wave of silken textures. Juicy and fresh yet also potent, this 2023 Pinot Noir leaves a licorice twang and a hint of citrus to fade slowly.”
Patricia Green Cellars ‘Estate Old Vine’ Pinot Noir, Ribbon Ridge 2022 750ml $39 special, 36 bottles in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 95 points “A killer value, the bright red 2022 Pinot Noir Estate Vineyard Old Vine boasts a highly complex and layered nose of spiced cherries, lifted spice, rose petal perfume, iron-rich earth, and hibiscus. Medium-bodied and tension-packed at this stage, it’s linear and coiled with great energy. Long on the palate, it’s a ton of wine for the price. It’s going to be worth holding onto and drinking over the next 10-15 years.”

Daniel Bouland
Daniel Bouland makes gutsy old-vine Beaujolais from some of the region’s premier appellations. You often hear that they’re traditionally made and, although that’s true, it doesn’t begin to describe what makes the wines unique. These are bottles that recall what Beaujolais would have been like before industrial farming and certainly before industrial winemaking. They’re special, powerful and age-worthy.
Young, the Bouland bottles show both intense fruit and structure—you wouldn’t necessarily think to drink Beaujolais with steak, but these are incredible pairings with even very hearty foods –especially since Gamay has a zesty freshness to it that can lighten, nay elevate, any meal.

Daniel Bouland Morgon Bellevue ‘Cailloux’, Beaujolais 2022 750ml $41.90 special, 31 bottles in stock now
John Gilman-A View From the Cellar 94 points “The Bellevue “Cailloux” bottling from Domaine Bouland is made from vines that are over sixty years of age in this climat age and planted on granitic soils. The 2022 Bellevue “Cailloux” is nicely ripe in the style of the vintage, coming in at fourteen percent octane, but vibrant and utterly pure on both the nose and palate. The beautiful bouquet delivers an aromatic constellation of sweet dark berries, black cherries, woodsmoke, spit-roasted pigeon, black tea, fresh thyme and a superb base of granitic minerality. On the palate the wine is bright, focused and full-bodied, with a rock solid core of fruit, great mineral undertow and grip, ripe, firm tannins and excellent balance on the long, nascently complex and very promising finish. This is a classic bottle of young Morgon from a great vintage and will demand plenty of cellaring time before it softens up to drink. It will be very long-lived and a great wine once the tannins start to peel away. 2033-2085.”
Daniel Bouland Morgon Bellevue ‘Sable’, Beaujolais 2022 750ml $41.90 special, 27 bottles in stock now
John Gilman-A View From the Cellar 94 points “The 2022 “Bellevue Sablé” from Mélanie and Daniel Bouland is a brilliant young Morgon. As I have mentioned in the past, the Bouland family makes this wine from their parcels in the sandier sections of the Bellevue vineyard, which is also their younger vines in Bellevue. The 2022 version is a young wine with a proper underlying Morgon chassis of tannin. The bouquet is deep and sappy, wafting from the glass in a mix of sweet dark berries, black cherries, a nice dollop of fresh herbs, coffee bean, dark soil tones, roasted meats and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and sports outstanding mid-palate depth, with fine soil signature, ripe, buried tannins and excellent length and grip on the complex and impeccably balanced, youthful finish. This is going to be an outstanding and very long-lived example of Morgon. 2031-2080.”
Daniel Bouland Morgon Les Delys, Beaujolais 2022 750ml $46.50 special, 24 bottles in stock now
John Gilman-A View From the Cellar 96 points “The 2022 vintage of Daniel Bouland’s Morgon “Delys 1926″ is a brilliant young Cru Beaujolais. The wine comes in at an even fourteen percent in this vintage and offers up truly stunning depth of fruit on both the nose and palate, as these ancient vines have dug deep into the subterranean water sources to keep maturity progressing flawlessly in this dry growing season. The wine wafts from the glass in a complex and sappy blend of sweet dark berries, black cherries, pomegranate, grilled pigeon, dark soil tones, espresso woodsmoke and a topnote of violets. On the palate the wine is pure, sappy and full-bodied, with a bottomless core of old vine fruit, fine-grained, buried tannins, great focus and grip and a long, seamlessly balanced and very complex finish. This is one of the greatest young bottles of Morgon I have ever had the pleasure to taste and it would be insane not to allow it at least some time in the cellar to unlock its secondary and tertiary layers of complexity. 2029-2085.”
Young, the Bouland bottles show both intense fruit and structure—you wouldn’t necessarily think to drink Beaujolais with steak, but these are incredible pairings with even very hearty foods –especially since Gamay has a zesty freshness to it that can lighten, nay elevate, any meal.

Toil Oregon Chardonnay, Willamette Valley 2022 750ml $41.90 pre-arrival special, 6 bottles available
Eric Guido-Vinous 92+ points “The 2022 Chardonnay is understated in the glass, wafting up with a pretty blend of freshly sliced nectarines, sweet spices and raw almonds. This is round and juicy in character, with ripe orchard fruits elevated by brisk acidity and an onset of crisp minerality that adds framework throughout. The 2022 lingers long and quite saline, forcing the mouth to water as an herbal tinge resonates.”

Beautifully textured, showing really nice weight and lovely earthy undertones, enjoy this beauty now and over the next six to eight years to come. Don’t serve too cold! “

Toil Oregon Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 2022 750ml $59 pre-arrival special, 12 bottles available
Eric Guido-Vinous 93 points “Violet and lavender florals come together with crushed blackberries and hints of sage as the 2022 Pinot Noir blossoms in the glass. This sweeps across the palate with ripe wild berry fruits and sweet spices, taking on a crunch of tart cranberry toward the close. Blue and purple florals resonate as the 2022 finishes with a coating of edgy tannins and a raspberry concentration, all lifted by a bump of zesty acidity.”
Domaine Daniel-Etienne Defaix Côte de Lechet, Chablis Premier Cru 2012 750ml $69 pre-arrival special, 12 bottles available
Importer Note “In fascinating contrast to “Vaillon,” Defaix’s “Côte de Lechet” is a master class in mineral precision. This remarkably steep site (a 45% gradient) with very poor soil produces a wine that Danny describes as embodying “the real, true mineral expression of Chablis.” Freshly blasted chalk dominates the nose, with notes of lemon, honey, and fresh herbs lurking underneath; still, this is a wine of minerality first and foremost. The family owns a 3.5-hectare parcel of 45-year-old vines in this distinctive cru, most of which are planted within a parcel known as the Clos des Moines.”

Presenting a clear, fresh straw yellow and a bouquet of fruity aromas with fresh pears and white stone fruits, as well as spicy notes with green walnuts and smoky and mineral aromas in the background. Elegant on the palate, but with juicy freshness, youthful vitality and stirring acidity, this partially barrel-fermented wine is an exciting new addition!”

Elena Walch Castel Ringberg Pinot Grigio Alto Adige, Trentino-Alto Adige 2022 750ml $36 pre-arrival special, 24 bottles available
Winemaker Note “A clear straw yellow characterizes the Pinot Grigio Vigna “Castel Ringberg”. A complex variety of fruits, especially ripe pears and lime blossom, as well as spicy sage notes inform the bouquet. Structure and elegance, power and harmony dominate the palate, combined with creamy fullness and density. A single vineyard Pinot Grigio with a lot of character.”
