Goodfellow Family Cellars Extra Brut, Willamette Valley NV 750ml Displayed Price: $49, that’s $46.55 at 5% off and $44.10 at 10% off, 12 bottles in stock now
Eric Guido-Vinous 92 points
“Dusty florals and spices give way to yellow apples and hints of iodine as the NV Extra Brut evolves in the glass. Soothingly round and textured, it sweeps across the palate with ripe orchard fruits and a bead of creamy bubbles. This finishes remarkably clean and pure, leaving a resonance of ripe Anjou pear to linger on. The balance here is unreal. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter.”

Goodfellow Family Cellars Tsai Vineyard Blanc de Noir, Yamhill-Carlton District NV 750ml Displayed Price: $54.50, that’s $51.78 at 5% off and $49.05 at 10% off, 14 bottles in stock now
Winery Note
“So delicious. This wine was originally supposed to be a component of the Willamette Valley Extra-Brut, but from the earliest days in barrel it had an extraordinary energy and vibrancy. Raised in two 820L Acacia foudres it was, and still is, a joy to drink. Electric, vibrant, and sparkly (both having bubbles and in personality). The nose is sea air, pink florals and yellow roses, sweet tarts, apricot blossoms, and ruby red grapefruit. The palate is Rainier cherry skin and raspberry, so vibrant and fresh, and then a wonderful electric finish; must love acid, the balance here is very definitely sweet/tart/dry. 12.1% ABV, 1gram/liter dosage. Bottled April 2023, with 85 cases disgorged this past December.”

Goodfellow Family Cellars Whistling Ridge Blanc de Gris, Ribbon Ridge NV 750ml Displayed Price: $47.50, that’s $45.13 at 5% off and $42.75 at 10% off, 16 bottles in stock now
Winery Note
“Like walking through an orchard blossoming out in the spring. Then mandarins and orange zest, nectarine and lime leaf, subtle and fine, with a hint of salt & fennel pollen. Kumquats in the palate, stony and dry (not austere), mineral, finishes with citrus skin. The impetus to make traditional method sparkling wines from Pinot Gris came from years of watching the quality of Pinot Gris that has consistently come out of the Whistling Ridge Vineyard, and specifically with tasting some of the older examples of our bottlings with extended barrel aging and with extended skin-contact. Brut Nature (no dose) but with a yeasty textural aspect that suggests otherwise. Delicious. 12.6% ABV. 77 cases produced, bottled April 2023 and disgorged this past December.”

Lytle-Barnett Sparkling Blanc de Noirs, Eola-Amity Hills 2018 750ml Displayed Price: $49, that’s $46.55 at 5% off and $44.10 at 10% off, 8 bottles in stock now
Owen Bargreen 93 points
“This 2018 ‘Blanc de Noirs’ saw extended tirage and was sourced from the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Green melon and biscuit notes combine with suggestions of nectarine rind on the nose. The palate is beautifully textured with good weight and finesse. Showing the warmth of the vintage, this very rich and gratifying Pinot Noir sparking wine will be sure to hold well over the next eight to ten years. Drink 2022-2030.”

Racines Grand Reserve Sparkling Chardonnay, Sta Rita Hills NV (2020-base) 750ml Displayed Price: $49, that’s $46.55 at 5% off and $44.10 at 10% off, 11 bottles in stock now
Matthew Luczy-Wine Advocate 94 points
“Sourced from Wenzlau, La Rinconada, Sanford & Benedict and Bentrock, the NV Grand Reserve Sparkling (2020 Base) was disgorged in February of 2023 with a dosage of four grams per liter, after spending 2.5 years on its lees. The nose is effortlessly fragrant and refined, offering citrus peel, green orchard fruit, nougat and crushed stone aromas. The palate is elegantly chalky and succulent, exuding a refinement of mousse that is so difficult to find in domestic sparkling wines. It finishes with fine, chalky details and an ethereal lift, gracefully attaining its intended mission statement: a high-toned Sta. Rita Hills blanc de blancs made with Champenois intentionality and precision.”

Roederer Estate Brut, Anderson Valley NV 750ml Displayed Price: $26, that’s $24.70 at 5% off and $23.40 at 10% off, 17 bottles in stock now
Wine Spectator 93 points
“Dynamic yet sleekly elegant, with rich strawberry and apple flavors that are accented by spiced cinnamon and yeast roll as this dances toward the vibrant finish.”

Roederer Estate L’Ermitage Brut, Anderson Valley 2019 750ml Displayed Price: $74.50, that’s $70.78 at 5% off and $67.05 at 10% off, 11 bottles in stock now
Wine Enthusiast 100 points
“If sunshine could be bottled it would be this. Aromas of fresh succulent stone fruit, a hint of yeast, citrus blossoms and notes of quince on the nose. The mousse is creamy and light with baked red apples, blood orange zest, white grapefruit, sticky caramel and layered salinity with a mouthwatering finish. It will bring a smile to your lips.”

Scharffenberger Cellars Brut Rose, Mendocino County NV 750ml Displayed Price: $24, that’s $22.80 at 5% off and $21.60 at 10% off, 9 bottles in stock now
The Tasting Panel 93 points
“The poppy on the label of this suave blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir is a tribute to the superblooms that occur throughout California in springtime but it also hints at the dry wine’s floral subtleties. There’s a faint touch of lilac on a nose brimming with fresh-baked sourdough, cherry, and blood orange, while rose graces the finish, preceded by splashes of wild strawberry, lemon rind, and Gala apple.”

Domaine Leflaive

Domaine Leflaive is the white Burgundy domaine against which all others are judged. The wines are a master class in terroir. The estate goes back to the end of the 19th century, when Joseph Leflaive laid the groundwork of rehabilitating the vineyards and eventually selling wine under his own label instead of selling to negociants. The vineyard team, who has had direct lineage for three generations, and the late Anne-Claude Leflaive took careful farming to a new level as one of the earliest adopters of biodynamics in the Cote d’Or.

These are, quite simply, the best wines you’ll find in Puligny-Montrachet. You’ll be hard pressed to find a purer expression of Chardonnay anywhere on the planet.

Domaine Leflaive Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2020 750ml Was $1,899, Now $1,479, 1 bottle in stock now
Burghound 95-97 points “Don’t Miss! A wonderfully floral-suffused nose reflects additional notes of petrol, citrus, white orchard and a hint of oak toast. The bigger and richer flavors also possess a gorgeous mouthfeel that is almost delicate yet racy with excellent delineation on the youthfully austere and beautifully balanced finish that just goes on and on. This is potentially a magnificent Bātard and it’s going to be interesting to compare this with the Bienvenues-Bātard-Montrachet in a decade’s or so time. In sum, I would offer the same advice – if you can find it, buy it.”

Domaine Leflaive Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2021 750ml Was $1,999, Now $1,699, 2 bottles in stock now
Burghound 95-98 points
“Once again a subtle but not invisible application of wood frames cool and ripe aromas of green apple, acacia blossom, petrol and airy zest-tinged nuances. Interestingly, the middleweight flavors aren’t quite as dense as those of the Bienvenues-Bātard-Montrachet yet the intensity is even higher, indeed it’s almost painful, while flashing impressive power on the gorgeously complex, sneaky long and equally well-balanced finale. This is also stunning but patience required.”

Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2021 750ml Was $1,799, Now $1,699, 2 bottles in stock now
Burghound 95-98 points
“A trace of reduction isn’t sufficient to materially reduce the appeal of the honeysuckle, citrus confit and softly spiced aromas that are also trimmed in just enough wood to merit pointing out. The medium-bodied flavors aren’t necessarily finer than those of the Pucelles though they do possess more power and weight while retaining a beguilingly silky texture as well as excellent complexity on the strikingly long, balanced and Zen-like finale. This is a very serious and moderately austere BBM that is very clearly built to repay long-term keeping. In a word, superb.”

Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru 2020 750ml Was $2,499, Now $1,999, 1 bottle in stock now
Burghound 96-98 points
“Don’t Miss! Strikingly elegant, cool and restrained aromas are comprised by notes of citrus confit, mineral reduction, anise, exotic tea and the classic acacia blossom nuances. The almost painfully intense medium-bodied flavors are at once succulent yet chiseled while the practically pungent minerality adds a sense of lift to the hugely long finish that is youthfully austere and Zen-like in its harmony. This is quite simply majestic in its class and grace and is a wine that should age effortlessly for years.”
