Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley 2013 750ML ($239.95) $186 special
Jeb Dunnuck-Wine Advocate 96-98 points
“One of the most impressive barrels samples I was able to taste during my trip through the region, the Galitzin’s 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) has a classic, structured feel, as well as sensational purity of fruit. Giving up lots of cassis, currants, spicy oak and bouquet garni, with subtle violet qualities with air, it hits the palate with serious richness, a full, layered mid-palate and masses of sweet tannin. Like most of Paul’s wines, I think they have the fruit and texture to offer plenty of pleasure in their youth, yet they don’t hit their stride until at least 5-7 years after the vintage.”

“Perhaps the wine that jumped the most in score from when I first tasted these wines out of bottle in 2008, is the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Pluribus. Rated 94 back in 2008, it’s now a solid 98 and knocking on the door of perfection.… Read the rest

Josh Raynolds–Vinous 93-94 points “Tasted in components: #1, mostly Gerine, all destemmed: Zesty red fruit and floral aromas and flavors, with a mineral element providing spine and lift. Supple and seamless, with strong finishing cling. #2, mostly Gerine again but made with whole clusters: Spicy and precise, with bitter cherry and violet character and a deeper suggestion of licorice emerging with air.
