~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The Best Opus Ever?
At a Killer Subscriber-Only Special Price
We’ll let you read the reviews for ’15 Opus and make up your own minds, but it’s a wine that’s clearly in the running for the best Opus One of all time. The 2015 growing season was easy and perfect in Napa and that shows in the bottle—you can tell the team was working with the absolute peak raw material to put the blend together.
Big Rhone Reds for Grilling
While many people like to go all-American for their fourth of July celebrations, we’re after the best wines and biggest values to pair with wines coming off of the grill. To that end, there’s no better choice than the Rhone valley, whose rich, robust reds seem born to pair with hearty, smoky foods.  Whether you’re looking at $15 Cotes du Rhones or $75 Chateauneuf du Pape, the wines deliver a top of value relative to other regions in their price categories, as well—always a good thing.
de Villaine on the July Sale
More Glowing Praise for 2017 in the Mosel
Stephan Reinhardt at the Wine Advocate Weighs In
“After 2015 and 2016, 2017 is the third great vintage in a row in the Mosel. Unlike 2016 (which brought bright and light wines of great finesse and elegance) but pretty similar to 2015 (dramatic wines with vibrant freshness and huge aging potential), 2017 combines ripe, intense fruit with dense, concentrated texture and firm, pronounced acidity.
