Domaine Pallieres

Both Kermit Lynch and the Brunier Family (Vieux Telegraphe) are legendary names in the French wine trade.  They went into business together with Domaine Pallieres in Gigondas and are now making some of the most exciting wines in the appellation.

Gigondas always represents some of the best value in the southern Rhone, especially when compared to Chateauneuf-du-Pape.  Like its more famous cousin, the Les Pallieres Terrasses du Diable displays all the richness and density you would want, coupled with a savoriness that is unique to Gigondas.

The Last Undervalued Great Barolo House?

It’s remarkable that even as Brovia’s star is rising in the echelons of Barolo, prices have yet to seriously escalate for these wines. They stand with any producer’s collection of Barolos and yet are priced below many ‘name’ producers that are making wines of less character and interest.  For traditionally made Barolo, these are some of the best wines you can buy (at any price, really, but especially for the price).
