Bernard Baudry Chinon Les Granges, Loire 2024 750ml $24 special, 11 bottles in stock now
Winemaker Note
“This is Loire Cabernet in its purest form, low in alcohol but high in perfume, which the Baudrys harness through low-intervention techniques like aging only in concrete and bottling unfiltered with barely any sulfur. That suave, silky texture is a delight when it swishes over the palate, especially when matched to a simple meal from fresh ingredients. A cool glass of this cuvée proves that magic is not just in the air, but in Chinon, it’s also in the soil.”

Bernard Baudry Chinon La Croix Boissée, Loire 2022 750ml $56.50 special, 12 bottles in stock now
No reviews for 2022 vintage. 2021 provided for reference.
Yohan Castaing-Wine Advocate 90 points “Matured for two years in used barrels and an additional nine months in tanks, the 2021 Chinon La Croix Boissée reveals a complex bouquet of plums, mulberries, spices and smoke, intertwined with carnal, meaty notes. Medium to full-bodied, layered and textured, it is chiseled and tense with an enveloping core of fruit and structured, firm tannins that transition into a meaty finish. While the phenols slightly detract from the powdery, delicate texture of the tannins, it remains poised.”

Hundred Suns ‘Old Eight Cut’ Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 2024 750ml $31.90 special, 36 bottles in stock now
Winery Note
“Ripe cherry, crimson cassis, and fleshy strawberry surround a vinbrant core of juicy acidity. The Old Eight Cut refers to a diamond cut dating back to the 1400s using simple tools and few cuts to enhance the natural brilliance of the stone without disguising its true nature. Ample rainfall and a mild spring set the stage for an exceptional vintage. Warm weather persisted through September, followed by cooler temperatures that allowed for slow and careful picking. Fermented with natural yeast and partial whole clusters, the 2024 vintage is full of surprises. Bottled unfined & unfiltered.”

Kelley Fox Wines “Black Cap” Raspberry Wine NV 375ml $49 special, 5 half-bottles in stock now
“For those of you who have never had the distinct pleasure and privilege of tasting these rare and precious berries, that aromatic contains supremely concentrated raspberries, a mélange of Indian spices, tea leaves, pomegranate seed, and fresh loam under a moonlit sky and charcoal. The flavor is of savory black currants, red beet, Japanese apricots, cranberries, and blueberry extract. These are not common wine descriptors and that is because this is the most uncommon wine that you will ever experience. Savory but hauntingly sweet in its own way and with multiple sips reinforcing that undertone.” – Jim Anderson, Patricia Green Cellars

Merry Edwards Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Anderson Valley 2022 750ml $49 special, 12 bottles in stock now
Wine Enthusiast 93 points
“This is one of two white wines the iconic Pinot Noir winery produces. It is meant as a companion to complement their various expressions of Pinot Noir. It is a classic cool-climate Chardonnay offering supple, exuberant aromas of baked spiced apple, nectarine, candied orange rind, and cantaloupe on the nose. The palate continues to expand the nose, with rich Tahitian vanilla bean, blood orange juice, and moderate acidity on the finish.”

Bedrock Wine Co. Old Vine Zinfandel, Sonoma Valley 2023 750ml $24 special, 12 bottles in stock now
Wine Spectator 93 points
“Brooding and brambly but keenly structured, with black cherry and dark plum flavors highlighted by briar patch, orange peel and green peppercorn as this gathers tension and tannins on the finish. Drink now through 2034. 300 cases made.”

Owen Bargreen 93 points
“The 2023 ‘Santa Cruz Mountains’ Cabernet Sauvignon has 15% Merlot blended in. It is refined and elegant on the tongue, as the toasty oak caresses a gorgeous core of dark currants, black cherry compote and espresso bean notes alongside gravelly soils. Very fresh and vibrant, with terrific acidity, enjoy now and over the next ten plus years. Drink 2025-2035.”

Domaine Pierre Morey Bourgogne Aligoté 2023 750ml $39 special, 3 bottles in stock now
“The 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté, which had been bottled, offers lilting citrus peel and clementine scents on the nose that just need a little coaxing from the glass. The palate is well balanced with an underlying sapidity, slightly viscous in texture with veins of lemongrass towards the persistent finish. This is a fine upstanding Aligoté from Anne Morey.” -Neal Martin, Vinous

Domaine Pierre Morey Bourgogne Cote d’Or Chardonnay 2023 750ml $69 special, 2 bottles in stock now
“The 2023 Bourgogne Côte d’Or Blanc, taken from barrel, sprints out of the blocks on the nose with lime, clementine and very light kerosene scents in the background. This has good concentration. The palate is quite phenolic on the entry, overtly spicy with veins of stem ginger and finishes quite powerful and sustained. Very fine.” -Neal Martin, Vinous

Domaine Pierre Morey Meursault Les Tessons 2023 750ml $219 special, 2 bottles in stock now
“The 2023 Meursault Les Tessons has a clean, precise nose, quite Puligny in style with citrus peel and crushed stone scents plus light touches of apple blossom. The palate is well balanced with a spicy opening and fine weight, though it just needs a little more complexity and mineralité on the finish.” -Neal Martin, Vinous

Charles-le-Bel ‘Inspiration 1818’ Brut, Champagne NV 750ml $41.90 special, 35 bottles in stock now
Billecart-Salmon Winemaker’s Note
“Sparkling and crystalline with fine and plentiful bubbles. A blooming nose with harmonious notes of butter, white flesh fruits as well as Mirabelle plums and dried fruits. A well-balanced mouth, structured thanks to the greatness of the Pinot Noirs, with flavors of white flesh fruits. The chardonnay brings to this wine a refreshing finish with notes of citrus fruits and pepper. For over 20 years, the Billecart-Salmon House has been crafting a second champagne. Clos du Tue-Boeuf Touraine Le Petit Buisson, Loire 2024 750ml $29.50 special, 11 bottles in stock now
Importer Note
“100% Sauvignon Blanc. Tue Boeuf has been sourcing from this site known as Petit Buisson on the north bank of the Cher since 2003. It is an organically farmed, hand-harvested, 1.4-hectare parcel of 35-40-year-old vines on flinty clay-limestone soils. Typical of Tue Boeuf whites, Petit Buisson fruit is whole-cluster-pressed and allowed to ferment spontaneously with native yeasts and without sulfur in large oak tanks. The wine ages for around 6 months in used Burgundy barrels, without racking and with occasional stirring of the lees; it is bottled without fining or filtration and with a minute quantity of sulfur. As of the 2019 vintage, the wine is classified as Vin de France rather than AOC Touraine.”

Thomas-Labaille Sancerre Les Monts Damnes Chavignol, Loire 2024 750ml $41.90 special, 24 bottles in stock now
Importer Note
“100% Sauvignon Blanc. Thomas-Labaille has vines averaging thirty years old with some much older on the famously steep slope of Monts Damnés in Chavignol. They are sustainably farmed and harvested by hand. The wine is fermented with native yeasts in fiberglass and cement tanks, aged on its lees in stainless steel tanks (with a small proportion of used barrel in some vintages) for four to six months and bottled without filtration. “

Kumeu River Village Chardonnay, Kumeu 2024 750ml $21.90 special, 24 bottles in stock now
Erin Larken-Wine Advocate 92 points
“The 2024 Village Chardonnay had just been freshly bottled when I tasted it at the estate in Kumeu in March 2025. The other 2024 Chardonnays were tasted as tank samples prior to filtration and bottling soon. The wine leads with yellow citrus and crushed shells. It is texturally fine, sleek and tightly coiled around a core of salty acidity. It is complex but composed and very good.”

Mohua Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough 2023 750ml $16 special, 24 bottles in stock now
The Tasting Panel 93 points
“Intense aromas of straw, grapefruit, and elderflower exhibit on the palate as well, with vibrancy intact. Pineapple upside down cake, chervil, green tea, and glistening lime zest are memorable. Elegant, with a lovely presence.”

Te Mata Estate Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc, Hawke’s Bay 2022 750ml $34.50 special, 9 bottles in stock now
Erin Larken-Wine Advocate 95 points
“The 2022 Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc is composed and tight. It’s such a pretty wine. In terms of its ilk, it aligns perhaps with the 2011. I like it so much. This is an elegant and quiet iteration of this wine, with flowering herbs, crushed shells, chalk, a hint of aniseed and crushed nuts. It’s a gorgeous wine with a long future in front of it. Interestingly, while I believe this will age gracefully, it is such a controlled and cool wine now that I would suggest that drinking it at any interval would allow it to show its pedigree. Super. The wines are better at the younger end of this vertical than the beginning, which is a great thing for the winery—and an even better thing for us, the drinkers.”

Te Mata Estate Vineyards Gamay Noir, Hawke’s Bay 2024 750ml $26.50 special, 11 bottles in stock now
Wine Enthusiast 92 points
“With a vibrant cherry juice tint, this North Island Gamay pops with raspberry and blackberry gumdrops, the vanilla, ground spice and undergrowth notes tucked below. Feather light, it’s far from the most complex wine in the Te Mata red stable, but there’s a juicy drinkability here that we wine geeks too often underrate. Slurp slurp.”

Domaine Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2023 750ml $97 special, 6 bottles in stock now
Wine Spectator 92 points
“This shows purity and finesse, setting the stage for cherry, strawberry, rose, mineral and spice flavors. This red is deftly balanced, with excellent length and the impression of approachability.”

Domaine Faiveley Nuits-Saint-Georges ‘Les Montroziers’ 2023 750ml $99 special, 6 bottles in stock now
Importer Note
“Intense garnet red hue and aromas of fruit, oak and spice on the nose. The palate reveals a smooth, rich attack, velvety tannins and good balance. A delicate, seductive and very elegant wine.”
Winery Note “With this name, we pay tribute to Maurice Colrat de Montrozier, statesman, great uncle and witness at Guy and Yvonne Faiveley’s wedding in June 1945. This union symbolised two worlds coming together: that of wine, represented by Guy, the fifth generation of winemakers, and that of the railways, embodied by Yvonne, the daughter of the founder of Faiveley Transports. This cuvée is a blend of 4 hectares spread from the north to the south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, and from the bottom to the top of the hillsides. The very pebbly ‘Argillats’ contributes delicate aromas, while the flat ‘Lavières’, consisting of marl, silt and hard limestone, imparts concentration and depth to the wine.”

Domaine Faiveley Clos des Myglands Monopole, Mercurey Premier Cru 2023 750ml $66 special, 6 bottles in stock now
Wine Spectator 92 points
“Cherry, raspberry and plum fruit is woven into the silky texture, picking up floral, earth, iron and oak spice notes while building to the lingering aftertaste. Shows fine balance and length; this just needs time to integrate.”

Domaine Faiveley Les Cazetiers, Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru 2023 750ml $248 special, 12 bottles in stock now
William Kelley-Wine Advocate 93-95 points
“The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers is a beauty, bursting with notes of cherries, raspberries, rose petals and incense. Medium to full-bodied, pure and polished, with an ample core of fruit, lively acids and a saline finish, it’s especially perfumed and sensual this year.”

Domaine Faiveley Corton ‘Clos des Cortons Faiveley’ Monopole Grand Cru 2023 750ml $488 special, 6 bottles in stock now
Stuart Pigott-James Suckling 96 points
“Really cool and stony for the very warm vintage, this is a great expression of Corton with bright red berry fruit and a touch of blood oranges but all the structure we expect from this amazing site. The straight, long finish has a radical minerality that makes this extremely exciting. From organically grown grapes. Matured in a half-and-half mix of new oak barriques and once-used casks. Drink or hold.”

Domaine Faiveley Latricieres-Chambertin Grand Cru 2023 750ml $519 special, 6 bottles in stock now
William Kelley-Wine Advocate 94-96 points
“Insiders know how good this cuvée is chez Faiveley, and the 2023 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru is another excellent rendition, offering up aromas of sweet wild berries, rose petals, orange zest and vine smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy but ethereal palate that’s refined, precise and mineral.”

René Rostaing

New Arrivals

René Rostaing founded his estate in the 1970s, working with family parcels in the Côte Blonde and La Landonne regions of the Northern Rhone appellation of the Côte Rôtie. The estate has since expanded, now including the Côte Bonnette parcel in Condrieu, old vines in Lézardes (just outside Côte Rôtie and bottled under the IGP Collines Rhodaniennes), as well as an estate in the Coteaux du Languedoc, where the estate’s Puech Noble wines originate.

For fans of the Northern Rhone, these are iconic, classic wines like no other. Eschewing 100% new oak and other modern stylings, the estate is not afraid of using modern technology as long as it aids in performing traditional practices.

Since 2015, René’s son Pierre has managed the estate, guided by tradition and aided by his retired father. The results are some of the most sought-after wines in the entire Rhone.

Domaine René Rostaing Côte Rôtie Ampodium 2023 750ml $99 special, 6 bottles in stock now
Decanter 93 points
“A medium-bodied style, this has a good sense of vibrancy, lovely bright acidity and crunchy, defined tannins. Raspberry scented, with blood orange notes too — it’s very fresh but ripe, with great energy and pep. Not hugely concentrated, but there’s a lovely taut, briskly tannic structure. 90% whole bunches this year — Tupin was destemmed a bit.”

Domaine René Rostaing Côte Rôtie Côte Blonde 2023 750ml $239 special, 2 bottles in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 94-96 points
“Black and blue fruits, crushed stone, and mineral notes all emerge from 2023 Côte Rôtie Côte Blonde, which comes from a site of slightly more granitic soils located in the middle of the appellation. Medium to full-bodied and very elegant, it has more velvety tannins than La Landonne, with a supple, seamless style that’s pure and perfumed, which is what this site always seems to yield.”

Domaine René Rostaing Côte Rôtie La Landonne 2023 750ml $215 special, 2 bottles in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 96-98 points
“A rocking bouquet of red and blue fruits, smoke, and violets defines the 2023 Côte Rôtie La Landonne, which comes from one of the greatest terroirs for Syrah in the world, the La Landonne lieu-dit situated in the heart of Côte Rôtie. Classic in every way with its rich, layered, yet regal style, it’s medium to full-bodied and has a smoking good mid-palate and sweet yet building tannins. It’s another magical wine from this estate that readers would love to have in their cellar.”

Domaine René Rostaing Languedoc Puech Noble Blanc 2023 750ml $27 special, 24 bottles in stock now
No reviews for the 2023 vintage. 2021 review provided for reference.
Jeb Dunnuck 89 points “A blend of Vermentino, Grenache Blanc, and Viognier, the 2021 Languedoc Puech Noble Blanc is a juicy, citrus, pear, and honeysuckle-scented white that’s medium-bodied, nicely balanced, and has a clean, dry finish. It’s going to be versatile on the dinner table and keep for a year or two.”

This is the lowest listed price in the USA today!
Domaine René Rostaing Condrieu La Bonnette 2023 750ml $89 special, 2 bottles in stock now
Nicolas Greinacher-Vinous 93 points
“The 2023 Condrieu La Bonnette showcases redolent apricot, honeysuckle, banana and white peach tones. Medium-bodied with lifting freshness and spot-on balance, the 2023 is absolutely delicious. This is a magnificent Condrieu. True to Rostaing’s house style, this Condrieu sees no oak and its malolactic conversion was blocked to preserve both aromatic purity and citrus-like acidity. (Drink between 2025-2029).”

Domaine René Rostaing Les Lezardes Syrah, IGP Collines Rhodaniennes 2022 750ml $49 special, 6 bottles in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 89-91 points
“Juicy red fruits, pepper, and violet notes all emerge from the 2022 Collines Rhodaniennes Les Lézardes, a medium-bodied, elegant Syrah that’s going to offer ample pleasure right out of the gate.”

Domaine René Rostaing Côte Rôtie La Landonne 2022 750ml $184.50 special, 3 bottles in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 95-97 points
“The 2022 Côte Rôtie La Landonne ratchets everything up a notch, offing a darker, meaty style in its smoked black fruits, raw steak, ground pepper, and graphite notes. It’s medium to full-bodied and has ripe, polished tannins and terrific overall balance.”

Domaine René Rostaing Côte Rôtie Côte Blonde 2021 750ml $199 special, 2 bottles in stock now
Decanter 95 points
“Relatively pale this year. It shows a floral expression of violets, and in the mouth it’s light-bodied, fresh and with good acidity. The tannins are much friendlier than La Landonne, it’s quite a light and gentle Côte Blonde this year, but the balance is good even if the concentration is fairly light. This will drink well young. It saw four weeks in tank, 18 months in oak, using limited new oak, natural yeasts, and as many stems as possible. The only single-vineyard bottlings in 2021 will be La Landonne and Côte Blonde – and that’s if they are not eventually blended into Ampodium.”
