Louis Jadot Nuits St Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots 2009 ($89.95) $59 vinopolflash special
John Gilman 93 points “I find that the Boudots at Maison Jadot is one of the best-kept secrets in the cellar, and the 2009 is another absolutely stellar bottle in the making. The bouquet soars from the glass in a complex and perfumed mélange of black cherries, plums, raw cocoa, fresh herbs, a beautifully complex base of soil tones and a discreet framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a great core of sappy fruit, ripe tannins, superb focus and balance and excellent grip on the very long, poised and utterly refined finish. This is a great bottle of Nuits in the making that really shows off how beautifully the elegance of the vintage has been translated to the best examples of Nuits St. Georges.”
