Vinopolis Wine Shop has a cold dark secret; and we’d like to share it with you. We are one of very few wine shops in the country to actually have actual on-site wine cellar capacity. In fact we have 5000 square feet, totally underground and without windows or external access.
As a facilitation to customers, if weather conditions are unfavorable for the safe transport of your wine at the time of order (too hot or too cold), you may elect to have us cellar it for future shipment. We can also aggregate and consolidate your orders for optimization of shipping costs. If you are ordering on the website, either of these options may be selected by choosing “special shipping” from the shipping options menu during the check-out process. By selecting this option, you will be charged for your choosen wines upon order confirmation. No shipping charge will appear in your shopping cart; we will charge for the shipping later at time of shipment, and we do not charge for seasonal storage.
We do request that if you elect this service via the “special shipping” direction, you also use the notes field of your order to indicate that you want seasonal storage and/or order consolidation. This allows us to process your order more efficiently, without having to query your intent.
